1080p Havn't tried VSR on Metro, i tried it with Fear, but i just can't get on with it, as it only does 60Hz, and im used to 144Hz now, so can't go back
http://steamcommunity.com/games/286690/announcements/detail/112923901632241689 Looks like Metro 2033 Redux was updated with stability fixes for the GeForce 900 series, seems a patch is in testing for Last Light Redux too so that will probably be released soon too.
That's nice to hear. Gonna reinstall 2033 Redux now. Hopefully I finally play through without driver stopped responding errors.
I just played original metro2033 in DX9. Wow what an orgasmic experience graphically speaking. It shiats all over DX10 and DX11 and leaves redux2033 in shame. I am starting to think Dx9 has the performance and IQ that current DX11 titles cannot match. Would love all games of the future to have user options under graphics to allow choice of DirectX.
DirectX 11 has better image quality (Tessellation) and performance (multi-threaded enhancements) than DirectX 9.
Nope... Not with the original game. I can vouch for this having played the game on dx11 with dof and tesselation on v dx9. The dx9 has extreme detail on textures. Dx11 is blurred in comparison on same settings. Even crysis on dx9 is fluid and excellent IQ compared to dx11. Hopefully dx12 fixes these issues.
I remember a bug with the original Metro game, something about the highest textures not loading in DX11, i'm pretty shocked that still hasn't been fixed.
They may be trying to force people into the Redux versions. It's hard to say, the store page for the original Metro 2033 is still up... could also just be an issue they are trying to work out.
Thanks man. I remember preferring the original LL over the redux, i cant recall why. And my Steam copy of Dark Athena was removed from my account. WTF!
Dark Athena is still in my library. I'd contact STEAM support about it being removed from yours. I know they don't sell it anymore, but... once you buy a game you should have it no matter what. I still have PREY and Deadpool, even though you can't buy them anymore.
