ok seems to be working again. Either the windows patch I applied helped or defragmenting my windows registry did reducing the registry size by over 50 mb. whichever helped I'm glad that my drivers aren't disappearing any more. :)

    thx again for the help

Since the problem reappeared after a while I googled and found that it might be my realtek network card driver so I removed it deactivated the device in bios and so far no more problems. Just adding this here if someone else ever has this problem.

In a Windows Control panel is means for deleting the ghosts devices.
Why to install the additional program?

Control panel - Troubleshooting - Configure a device
    Scan and delete ghost drivers.

Ok not quite the same but I see nothing wrong having that automated all in one place. It's a small program and also has the option to make a restore point all within it and yes I know you can do it manually. It's just a convenience nothing more.:)

Sometimes small convenience causes big problems.
Appearance of virus programs for example.
It is better to make most, than to correct the arisen surprises.
