Well, it would be nice if I didn't have to limit P00 to prevent instability in certain low usage situations and "voltage lag". Also this particular card has too aggressive default fan curve and without editing the BIOS the minimum fan speed is way too high. It's a shame this doesn't have semi-passive mode. VRM makes wee bit more noise than I'd like but it could be worse.

All in all I'm pretty happy.

Going to vote for 3 of my friends who have a 970 each and are enjoying their gaming experience (2 at 1080p 60Hz and 1 at 1440p 110Hz). Too bad I don't get three votes.

Shadowplay and DSR has impressed them, too.

Enjoyed mine so far. I game at 1080p when i'm able to play a game. Only issue is a coil whine when using F@H, but a coil whine can happen with just about any GPU. My previous 7870 would do it on occasion.

Well i´ve bought my GTX970 in December for 379€ and so far i´m loving it!.
It´s a great performer, silent with low temperatures and overclocks like a champion!

So far my only "regret" after buying this card is that i can´t buy great games to make the best use of it, every game seems to range between meh at best and crap at worst... I need great games ot use my card!!!

Yeah, the 970 'vram issue' is one of the biggest circlejerks over a non-issue I've ever seen.

When the 970 was released we already knew from benchmarks and reviews that it doesn't perform as well at high resolution as the gtx 980 and r9 290(x), nothing's really changed.

can basically be summed up as:

CUT DOWN VERSION OF GTX 980 PERFORMS LIKE CUT DOWN VERSION OF GTX 980, NEWS AT 11!

If everyone wanted a gtx 980 so bad, they should have bought a gtx 980. Considering the 970 is a good ~200 dollars less than the 980, I don't really see the issue here.

Huh? That links to a couple guys complaining about AMD driver flickering, nothing to do with 970 poll results, or even 970s...

Them guys voted on the 970 but have amd cards? But they could have multiple cards as well. Not enough room in sig.

Ah I see that the Bugzzz guy voted, I thought the link was posted showing them talking about the 970s, not just pointing out a members name - would have been better linking to his profile rather than a non related post

Some of those votes are from people with multiple usernames.

Maybe G3D should start a GPU members club the way OC.net forums do it, where you have to prove you own the hardware to be part of the club

Then keep polls like this in those club forums and lock them from anyone not in the club

That would be ideal. Problem is, when people have multiple usernames and connect to the site through VPNs, it's hard to even keep that clean.

I have memory allocation bug too.Nvidia’s admitted that problem affects every single 970.
I hope something that can be resolved via driver or firmware update.
But i cant see that as problem when I play games : BF4, AC Unity etc...
All games works on ultra awesome !

+1 and not be able to post the same day, month you join ie January 2015. That should weed out the riff raff.

It's not a bug. It was a design decision. There is nothing to fix. The GPU has SMMs disabled. There is no way to re-enable those SMMs using firmware or drivers.

I love my GTX 970 G1's Nvidia have even made big leaps in hashing with the 900 range cudaHashcat I get 320 kh/s with the -m 2500 setting I think 2x r9 290x get around 350 kh/s. so the GPU's are brill in my books.

seem to get higher hash in windows 8.1 than in kali, kali linux I get around 300 kh/s ..

gtx760 btw get around 45638 h/s in kali Linux using cudaHashcat64

I love the card, it overclocks great, it's cool, it's quiet and it was reasonably priced for what it is, BUT, I am very concerned over the recent controversy. While the card might be fine now when I'm not pushing past 3.5GB of vRAM due to only playing at 1080p, what happens in the future if I get a new monitor? Or when games start using more vRAM in general in a year or two.

I do agree with those who say this is a non-issue. So it can only use 3.5GB of its 4GB Memory. I am pretty sure those who are going to be pushing a resolution that warrants that much VRAM is going to go for a 980/290X 8GB anyway, especially when getting into QHD/4K space. I am sure if I got a 970 for my res (1080P), I probably wouldn't even use 3GB of the 4GB. Besides the KFA2 Infinity one looks tasty!

Since when did Graphics Cards become so scandalous?
