AMD Catalyst HDMI Scaling Hotfix 14.501

When connecting some TVs to AMD Radeon graphics through HDMI connector, users may see small black border around the image on the TV. This hotfix eliminates that black border.

When connecting some TVs to AMD Radeon graphics through HDMI connector, users may see small black border around the image on the TV, then user can use HDMI scaling slider on Catalyst Control Center to adjust the image.

This AMD Catalyst HDMI Hotfix driver does not downscale the image, therefore, on most HDMI displays image will be displayed in proper size.

You can download the latest AMD Omega drivers here.

This AMD article was published on 10 Dec! I personally can confirm this. Also, even the file name is AMD-Catalyst-HDMI-Hotfix-Win8.1-Win7-Dec10.zip. And this info was posted numerous times at least in two threads on this same forum. Why do you think it's something new? Just because you've finally noticed it? LOL.

Thanks, very annoying. In Windows it was very easy to turn off, but in some games couldn't get rid of the scaling.
Didn't see it on AMD site, so thanks again.
Also, it's the same driver version as 14.12, so if you don't have this issue, then there's nothing to see here.

Interesting, thanks for pointing this out, just got a new laptop that uses an AMD apu and the scaling when hooking it up to my tv via hdmi was always jacked up no matter what, lets hope this fixes it!
