    ReShade Version: ReShade 0.10.0 Public Beta + SweetFX 2.0 Preview

    Short Description:
    Resident Evil 5 DX10 doesn't have any changes (only work with DX9).
    Far Cry 3 DX9 stops working after 3 seconds (on DX11 works fine).
    On Killing Floor, ReShade works but I keep getting random crashes (Critical Error) after some time of play...

    Strange behaviour of Chrome, not the browser :D but the 2003 antelitteram-Crysis-like game (Steam version)

    It's a D3D 8.1 game and it starts correctly with ReShade enable! Menu - it's a game level - and first in-game intro cutscene run with no problem (see ReShade stats and the good SMAA in action):

    I put it in same folder where swtor.exe is and it works. However it looks like it might be really picky about tools like FRAPS, Afterburner or Dxtory. It doesn't work if I have Dxtory running.

    1. I figured out the D3D8 bug causing Max Payne 1 to not work, it's fixed in the upcoming beta build.
    2. And I started to go through the crash dumps I got so far and found a few potential bugs because of them, so thank you!
    3. Also found a problem that in very (rare) bad situations may cause a deadlock (resulting in a silent crash when the game starts, without any error or notification). Not entirely sure how I'm going to fix that one yet, but I'll figure something out (btw. InjectSMAA and Boulotaurs injector suffer from the exact same issue, it apearently hasn't caused trouble yet here either though). For the Win32-programming-educated people: It's the famous loader lock problem: DllMain should never acquire/wait on thread synchronization locks or call LoadLibrary (but especially the second thing is commonly done in injectors (as the case with the two I named and currently ReShade too).
    I won't have much time to work on ReShade the next days because of christmas/new year stuff going on, so please don't expect news too soon, I'll be back when 2015 has started. =)

    That's new, never had that issue. Which games exactly do have these problems and what API are they using? And please provide the log for when that happens =).
    Also for the games SMAA depth-edge-detection doesn't work: Make sure you disabled MSAA, ReShade does not support depth access with it enabled. Also check that depth access works at all by pressing the left ALT button to view its content.

    Those are just some shader warnings for CeeJay to fix in SweetFX. Somebody posted a fix for that specific one a couple of posts ago already. Nothing to worry about =).

    ReShade is new and not known by anticheat software (and thus not on their whitelist), what did you expect? You even had to confirm you've read about those possible issues when first starting ReShade ... And I can't repeat myself too often: It is a BETA!

    Looks like an internal initialization error here. Could you also provide a tracelog, which expands the "Failed to initialize Direct3D10 renderer!" message to something more informative? Thanks =)

    Thanks for that detailed report! At least one game shader isn't translated correctly to D3D9 compatible code there, which may or may not be an issue. Or maybe the bug that caused Max Payne to not work applies here as well. I'll investigate that. =)

    Right now you can't, it's all done automaticly.

    That usually indicates ReShade wasn't installed to the correct location / renamed correctly. It should either load or crash when installed right =P
    How and where did you put it, so we can figure it out? =)

    That's unfortunate... Can anybody report compatibility issues with Dxtory outside SWTOR? Fraps works as far as I know.

    It's at the same location the ReShade DLL was installed to, with the same name, just a different extension (".log").

    In Tomb Raider at least there are no issues when Dxtory is running (and disabling Dxtory it doesn't change the depth buffer issue/problem/something).

    So it looks like it's probably game specific problem or DX9 specific problem.

    In Devil May Cry 4, Reshade works fine in dx9 mode, however in dx10 it crashes with the message : "ERR03 : Failed to initialize DirectX10."

    I've just tried ReShade with Batman Arkham Origins.
    The detection fails only in that it detects the game as DX9. I deleted the dx9.dll since I didn't know whether it was the 32 or 64 bits version.
    After that, I renamed the ReShade32.dll as dxgi.dll, put it in the game's folder and the game ran perfectly.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\Binaries\Win32

    Why can't I manually select which direct-x version I want to inject? Auto detect is my only option and when I select crysis3.exe it wrongly selects opengl.
    Note: I know how to install manually, just letting you know I can't select the direct-x version using reshade.exe is all

    Or it's something in the Java VM (Chrome/Chrome Specforce use it) or map-specific. As I said the menu (it's actually a game level) loads with no problem, and the first (game level) cutscene too.
