Ra great on mine, opening scene avg 68-72fps @ 1200mhz OC, max settings, raised extra to 16xaf and driver fxaa instead of ingame postaa. With 1.5x SS i got ~ 40-45fps.. But vsync sux it caps to 30fps.. Also there is driver forced HBAO+,I thought game already uses AO or where do I turn it off and use driver then? dont want to force HBAO+ on top of ingame AO..:nerd: EDIT: no OC its ~ 62-64fps fps on avg., not to shabby
AMD 6990 Catalyst 14.9 Windows 8.1 AFR mode plus remove motion blur and temporal give good result! 98% usage on the 2 cards
Man this game looks good, and to think i can get it at an almost solid 30fps at 1080p maxed out (well, bar the textures - but in how the game uses them its hardly noticeable) - the double buffered vsync is really not good so i went with adaptive instead and it just runs great, the way in which they've done the motion blur etc really makes 30fps fell pretty dam smooth. Rather impressed my system is handling this, did the benchmarks above use the in game double buffered vsync?, seems strange i'm getting better framerates than they did with a better CPU and a GTX580.
Why don't you try the fix i posted earlier works perfectly for me with vsync on in game my FPS does not cap it to 30 as it enables triple buffering from what it seems.
Ah I missed that, tnx. Do you know how to disable ingame AO? Wanna test driver HBAO+ if it runs faster c1:
I don't think it is possible yet as AO is embedded in the shading cvar (sys_spec_shading). Shading adjusts the quality and detail of shading effects such as reflections, ambient occlusion and hair shaders. The sys_spec_shading has values of 0 to 4 (sys_spec_shading=4)....
I did the very high texture thing and worked OK in my 2 gb 670 Im on the highest settings now in 1080p and it is 40-50 fps usually now I need triple buffer.. you sure d3doverrider wont work? because game has 64bit executable?
How ? The texture settings is set automatically depending on how much VRAM is detected. 3GB are needed to enable very high textures. With 2GB the game defaults on high. How have you changed it ?
can someone please link me SLI's posts where he was adamant that RYSE would need over 4gb vram at 1080p? Please, just for kicks. EDIT: nvm LOL and ouch
I've tried both the Crysis 3 and Sleeping Dogs SLI profiles but they both have major flickering and reflection issues. Think I'm just going to have to give up with SLI and get a 980. It's ridiculous how many games come out these days that don't support it.
Outrageous seems like a delivers over the top comment, but it is definitely outrageous that Nvidia don't have support for a game that was announced a while ago now. 970 SLI looked appealing, but not so much now.
The game doesnt have V.high option by default ingame, even Darren mentioned it and he has 4gb card. edit: sorry small correction, high its for other values not texture reso, mine defaulted to v.high by default as well. So I guess I won't need to tweak that texture cfg hack
Yet another game that doesn't need the ridiculous VRAM requirements claimed by some, what a surprise.
