If I remember... I think you have to go to the Chapter Select screen, and select the first Chapter.
There you can pick the hardest skill and keep all your perks and weapon upgrades.

Just starting a new game from the menu will reset everything.

the General was pretty tough, and making my way to see him was great.
this like vast majority of games i dig has some real fun boss battles.
weapons were stellar, prolly my fav of any game if i'm honest.
i was sad to see the laser pistol go but the laser cannon is good after you get the scope.
the white rifle is just incredible, mostly in it's more advanced firing state, so satisfying.

Really enjoyed this game myself, nice variety of weapons and all of them feel satisfying to use, not many fps games get that right these days!

Glad you enjoyed it. It really does deserve its praise. Im not man of Physx and such, but imagine PhysX being applied to the laser cutting and gore or even that white laser rifle particle effects etc.

    The gfx in the
underwater segment and on the Moonbase
were stellar, was quite blown away. tbh.

I just hope that the sequel is either at the same level or better and we dont end up with annual releases like COD (which works for COD).

It felt so complete as a game and the story imo, was a perfect mix of rock and roll Tarantino type violence and...erm.. emotion/love for lack of a better description.

ahh bugger it, gonna do another playthrough now.

So this game still has no SLI support or an ability to dedicate second GPU to transcoing? So lame... GTX 670 is not enough for stable 60fps and I absolutely hate dips below 60, also 60fps limit on 120hz display is just an mockery.

I started a playthrough today ( by using chapter select so I kept all the unlocks etc ) and it crashed twice, once each in two different places.

After reloading the game ( rebooting my PC after the second one as it fully locked my system up ) I realised both crashes occurred right when it autosaved a checkpoint.

It wasn't that long ago I played it but I honestly can't remember if the game has ever crashed on me before.

I went to play rage earlier and it closed without error as well so it could be a driver error, something to do with the engine.

I do have a new GPU and a new driver but it's still annoying.

Has anyone else experienced those sort of crashes in this game before, or since the recent drivers?

What? 60fps? You are not using custom tweaked config with MSAA :)

Here's a question...if Wolfenstein: The New Order supports MSAA via a config tweak then why on earth is it not available as a graphics option from within the game itself? RAGE had MSAA support from within its in-game graphics settings.

And that doesn't mean a thing in regards to what he was talking about.

Plenty of "ports" have in game AA options on the PC versions.

Started to play the game for my second run through and am having terrible performance with my GTX980 compared to my previous 680. wtf.. getting dips into the 40s and have even seen the 30s. No AA, but am using DSR at 1.2x 2103x1183 and shadows at 4096.

    Any ideas?

Wolf config is fairly vanilla, with only the following added (+Read only)

    pm_togglesprint "0"
    s_voiceVolume_dB "7.1"
    vt_uncompressedPhysicalImages "1"
r_mode "22" (used to get my 1.2 DSR)
    image_anisotropy "16"
    image_useCompression "0"
    m_sensitivity "3.666249"

When I tried DSR it had huge fps drops, like vram issue.

Try normal Downsampling if it has the same fps drops, I didnt with normal..

You know, I didn't really put into account the VRAM usage of DSR.. but you might be onto something there. I'd hate to have to resort to not using DSR though as I've really become a huge fan of it (DSR @50% smoothness + FXAA/SMAA/2xMSAA makes for a hell of a cinematic look).

Even so, my 980 (which is also OCd), should be able to handle with no problem.. Wolfenstein is hardly the best looking game my 980 has had to handle, and I swear I had much better performance with the 680 and 8x MSAA. VRAM usage shouldn't drop the FPS to that extreme..

If I turn a few settings down, I can get pretty much 60 fps with 4K DSR. But I have 6gb VRAM so that might be why. Don't know what this game is doing that requires that much VRAM

Just picked this up in the sale. Took forever to download but the shooting is just great. Wasn't a huge fan of Rage but this is spot on!

Make sure you look very carefully for secrets! Wolfenstein pays good homage to some of the older classics with secret rooms and etc.

Yeah, I'm gonna take my time with this one. The art direction is superb. I know some people complain about the engine and the textures but those things are secondary to solid gameplay and art. So far the game is running well too with a few tweaks.
