Yes this is not a joke, but is a serious matter. I'm reading lately in the Russian media and US media that some piece of land in US belongs to the Russian Federation http://www.themoscowtimes.com/news/...e-russian-territory-lawmaker-says/507939.html It was some kind of illegal transaction and there might be #bringbackCaliforniareferendumtoRussia 2015 So I guess Russia might end up on 3 continents again... My personal opinion is that the Russian people should take their vote to Washington D.C. and indeed take what belongs to them by the Democratic way.
Ain't gonna happen in a million years. There's a lot of people in the states that are saying try and get it.
This has nothing to do with Putin The claims were made by normal citizens. Anyone could make the claim in court. Heck I if were Russian I would too lol It's nice thing to enforce the law and everyone should. Honestly this case will end to nowhere for Russia but it's good that people know their rights. P.S. President in Russia is not President in USA. Russian president doesn't control everything in the country as the US counterpart does. Read the constitution of the Russian Federation, if you have the time and the desire.
To me this is a bunch of hogwash. Any part of California belongs to the USA and no body else end of story.
I was at Fort Ross about a month ago. The Russians that were there never made a profit. They were unable to grow enough food for their own needs so they had to ship it all in from Alaska, all the while they hunted our sea otters to the brink of extinction. The fort is now a park surrounded by an Indian reservation. Civilization is miles away on some of the most windy roads on the coast north or south. Btw when fort Ross was sold it was Mexican territory and guess what? We took the whole damn state from them......
ha, can we have texas back? nothing will happen, and if it happens, that small part of california wouldnt matter anyways, more about the amount of nukes on each big city of russia and usa.
