GTX 690 to GTX 980 Upgrade?

    I'm in the same boat as OP.. However, I did decide to make the jump. My 980 arrives tomorrow and while performance in many instances is similar I'm still excited for things like DirectX12 and DSR.

    I also won't miss waiting for SLI profiles to get added to games 8 months after release or fiddling with editing driver profiles. If I can get similar performance from one GPU over 2 then I'm content. But.. I may still add a second 980 down the road lol.

    The idea of a GTX980ti is really what is holding me back right now, plus the fact that the Gigabyte GTX980 G1 isn't in stock anywhere :wanker:

    I think thats a thing with 9xx Gigabyte cards in general actually. I just called to ask about my G1 order and was told by the shop that their supplier is getting their new batch on the 25th... Must.. wait.. be ... patient.. :(
