Thanks, I guess DDU is not responsible after seeing this.
    It was just a coincidence.

Edit:just posted on the forum there to see if they had all run DDU or not to completely clear any doubt.

Thanks for the files. ill look into them probably tomorrow.
Can you tell me if the CCC just doesn't open or is there an error message?
When you are installing the driver, do you change the default installation folder?

Edit: I have a look at the log, nothing special except for the enumration of the driver store that is quite weird.

Can you give me a screenshot of this command from a Command Prompt.

    Without quotes "PNPUTIL -E"

You can have the information generated in a CMD prompt put into a file by using the " > " as a redirect.

To have the information generated and then create a file called " info.txt " on the root of drive C, use the following redirect.

" PNPUTIL -E > c:\info.txt " Please note that the file name can be any name but it must end in the extension .txt to allow the file to open in a plain text editor such as notepad.

More information can be found on using redirect(s) here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/resources/.../all/proddocs/en-us/redirection.mspx?mfr=true

If its not a problem for you, can I check live in your system with you to see whats going on?
if interested, you can PM me or email me directly at wagnard28@gmail.com the ID and password of TeamViewer.

Edit: I may already have a little idea why it could cause this. Ill need to check this out when im home, currently at work with a laptop with a nVidia gpu in it... so I cannot test my theory...

Issues Installing AMD Radeon R7 200 Drivers Using DDU

Looking for some help and advice for I got into a right old state after installing a new GPU.

I posted for advice at Sevenforums under User Name Agent Orange Thread Title: Issues Installing AMD Radeon R7 200 in Dell 580 Windows 7 SP1. I am not allowed to link but if you might have the time and find it helpful I provided quite a bit of detail there.

    Where I was directed here:

DDU worked I guess, removed folders etc. Rebooted with no networking and observed windows popup notification stating Device Is Ready To Use, ignored and ran:

    14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql

Errors like before so I went back into safe-mode ran DDU and even removed basic vga and within Safe Mode I tried to install using the installation disk and again errors. Finally I did everything again but used the installation disk in normal mode without networking - No ccc etc.

    Error report shows:

    Name AMD Radeon Graphics Processor
    Manufacturer Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
    Device ID 0x6613

Downloaded amd-catalyst-desktop-apus-win8.1-win7-64bit-[Guru3D.com] but haven't tried it yet.

I am a complete novice and would greatly appreciate some help.

    Many thanks in advance.

P.s If I am posting in the wrong place, I apologise, if so would someone let me know. Thanks

DDU only clean old driver installation. It is not design to fix problem you "may" already have with your system.

As I recommendation, I suggest trying to install the driver with he antivirus / security software disabled.

You may try to manually install the driver manually via "Device Manager".
Also I think the catalyst installer usually generate a log, check inside to see if anything relevant. There may also be stuff on the windows event viewer.

Sorry, I realise DDU is there for the removal of the drivers I didn't know exactly where to post. Should I disable the AV and in safe mode try the Downloaded amd-catalyst-desktop-apus-win8.1-win7-64bit-[Guru3D.com]? I tried manually to install but failed, I browsed my files to 14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql but Windows would not accept and tried automatic and windows state my driver is up-to-date. I have the catalyst installer log, and what should I be looking for in windows event viewer. Thank you for helping out.

Did you point windows at this location "C:\AMD\AMD-Catalyst-Desktop-APUs-win8.1-win7-64Bit\Packages\Drivers\Display"
this is where you must point it.

No I didn't, thanks for the heads up.

I think I may have found the solution to my problem or though I haven't tried yet:

    Install all windows updates.

    Uninstall all AVs Antimalware software

Uninstalled all MS C++ 2012 redistributions

Run AMD Clean Up Utility - Is this safe because it states "chipset drivers, USB drivers, audio drivers, and AMD software components may be removed", or should I use your DDU.

Then finally install the Drivers and Utility suite again. Would you say the best procedure is manual, or disk, or download?

Also what is odd on my system is after uninstall, CCC and AMD Gaming Evolved are still being recognised as being installed.

I appreciate your help for what is a minor issue in the wider context and the GPU is a pretty basic low end card. Wagnard, sincerely thanks for the help.

I cannot really comment on the amd cleanup utility.
But DDU should remove the CCC completely.
DDU does not remove the amd gaming evolved app. (you must manually uninstaller it with its Installer from control panel)

I've used DDU 2 times so far, once on trying to fix an issue I have after installing new drivers and 2nd when I replaced my card on a test.

I'm still having the issue, In the log does anything look odd to you? if you don't mind looking that is :)

What's odd is I did, as listed as Raptr, yet the AMD install manager via custom lists it as already installed.

At least I got some direction to go on so I'll leave in peace. Thanks.

    The logs are OK.
I can see that on the second cleanup the (remove amd audio bus) was probably not selected but that doesn't cause any known issues.

You can manually install raptr than removing it. It may help clearing it from your system.
