I accidentally reposted a link someone previously linked. Just google GTX 980 review.

Looks like it's shaping up to be a nice card. Now to the price...

The 970 would be a heck of an upgrade over a 760, might be my sons Christmas gift, wounder what his FPS in Minecraft is now...

You would indeed be an idiot for buying it, when their highend gm200 chip will soon follow.

But youre blindly swallowing everything nvidia throws at you, so not really worth wasting my breath on.

Being a "204" chip, means exactly squat aside from it not being the first chip based on Maxwell. By that line of thinking, GK110 was intended to be an entry-level GPU. Fact is, outside of NVidia, the GPU numbering means nothing. It has absolutely nothing to do with what market segment it was intended for.

Who said I was buying it? And do not call me an idiot or I am going to report you. Its idiotic to think a card faster than a 780ti is midrange.

The only fact is that he as well as everyone else here - we have no idea what will be coming. He's just being active-aggressive with his guesstimation of the next iteration being overly superior.

my 660gtx still going strong for my needs well excepted for Swtor which isnt my gpu fault, its the games engines lack of any optimiztion that and it a alpha build of the engine to begin with they gutted.

I am interested in this "downsampling" they i think my next gpu wont be till there pascal gpu, or later as i still need to update my actual mb/cpu

Something better is always around the corner. If I went by your logic I would still be on a P2 940BE with a 9800GTX+ 512MB.

man, i only read this forum, i never answer, but you are sir, very annoying, to say the least.

it's easy for you to say gtx 980 to be mid range chip when you have 2 very expensive high end gtx 780ti, of course, for you, for your mental health, it's better to hammer the idea that this coming tx 980 is just an average gpu, when in fact, it's an amazing one.

yes you hear me well, i have a gtx 670, and i will buy this gtx 980 as soon as it's released, no, it's not a mid range gpu like you think, it's a high end one, on par with gtx 780ti.

so please, can you stop bashing this coming gpu, it doesnt make sense at all for most of us, only for you.

    thank you very much

I prefer to buy higher end GPU's, and this has my interest so far. It could very well be my next upgrade.

Img doesnt work - but ive seen the pic before. (edit works now)
The side air exit of the inno3d cooler would fit perfectly with my Cases VGA cooling tunnel. Just not sure how silent that one's gonna be..
