I know what'll happen, I'll close youtube and never use it again, it is horrendous without youtube center

With youtube center, instant HD nice big player size, no advert

Without youtube center, tiny pointless player size, low definition, p1ss annoying adverts played instead of video chosen

Haven't encountered any BSODs with Hardware Acceleration with my 270x started from 13.12, tried all betas and WHQL. Keeping my fingers crossed for the upcoming drivers! :D

    Nice one cheers

Take a few mins to set up using the preferences but once you've used it, you'll never want vanilla YT again

If you set the option in Youtube settings: "always use HD when possible" or something like that and use ad-block plus you'll have the same outcome without the ugly controls of youtube centre.

EDIT: In fact it's better, the background goes dark so you don't have the white background distracting you.

Oh and I haven't used Flash for Youtube in months.

there are other youtube extensions, like magic actions , which do the same thing.

But i dont think these are the cause of BSOD 's. Extensions , applications can not cause a BSOD , unless there is a problem with the driver.

Tried youtube center now. Hated it. Slow page adjusting and caused a lot of buffering for me. Prefer the bog standard one right now with adblock plus.

Had this bug with my last Sapphire HD 6870, but it was fixed with a VBIOS update for all the 6870. Not sure about other cards, but usually there are VBIOS updates for stuff like this.

Must not have it set up correctly, instant HD big player and no buffering this end

EDIT - Just remembered I had issues with the official release version, I moved to the dev version and all the bugs were more or less gone

The easiest way to cause a BSOD is to keep scrolling down your Facebook page. Eventually you'll stumble across these vídeos that auto-play on you. In 10 minutes or so your OS will crash.

Except when you turn off autoplay.

I do not have this problem with: opera 12.17 x64, opera developer channel builds, firefox nightly x64, safari for windows 5.1.7 (yes, i'm still using it :D ), ie 11. Always have latest beta version of flash player installed. Windows 8.1 x64 enterprise.

I have never faced bsod caused by playback of hardware accelerated videos on youtube or other online video services.

I used to have those BSODs with one of the 14.6 release candidates, not exactly sure which one, currently using 14.x 27th aug beta and it's fine.

    Haven't ever gotten BSOD's

To get BSOD you also need to enable hardware acceleration in browser settings. Also you need to have opened multiple tabs with flash videos. I had BSODs so I disabled hardware acceleration for Chrome.

Now I'm using AMD Catalyst 14.8 WHQL (14.201.1008 August 12) drivers and will try with HW acc. enabled.

edit: This driver works fine so far with HW Acc. enabled.

Tree Dude WTF, Where did you get this quote from?
