    Heys Marduk,
I installed your mod last night (core v10) and it works fine for me.
Graphically it is impressive, but i came from balanced mod 28th and my fps dropped by 20-30 going to this new mod (from 45-62 fps to 25-34)! 0.o i noticed that your mod is 1.6gb or so compared to the 100-200meg balanced mod.. I'm guessing this is due to the upgraded textures or something.

As visually stunning as the mod is, would you happen to have a version closer to what super's Balanced mod was? I'm only running an older 1090t cpu (3.4ghz) and a hd7870 gpu, so these visual editions are too highspec for my poor widdle pc ;_; if there isn't, would you be able to point me in the direction of how to use your mod with less textures or the 28thBalanced mod with the ubi patches since then (since that was a decent enough display for me, with good fps).

    your mod looks really impressive though, i was stunned going around the city with the light and the storms :-D i wish my pc was strong enough to appreciate such quality though ;_;

sorry my english sometimes is bad.

I didnt know, if it's a Problem. I would give you a link to compare

i will test out what you mean with reflections by myself, must test again the other mod to know What terms the reflections/specularity.

if you know how, it could be tweaked in windy_city.game.xml (bottom search for specular.... there you find the different "materials" wich will reflect... )
    sorry

    btw

i will work to make the rain settings, sometimes slower,

have you tried the standalone, less rain? does it helped you?

@Marduk since u are the only active person here who does some modding in the xml files I have a question for you.

I kind of did the same what u did with your mod I took parts from other mods and went with it, but the one iam currently using is based on the worse's mod since that one appeals the most to me when it comes to colours, but his also make the game sooooo dark even with the default settings its still darker then it was before.

Would you have any idea what to change to bring the brightness of the game up a little more ?

    How to edit
    1. rename windy_city.game.xml to windy_city.game.rml
    2. drag drop to disrupt.conver.xml
    3. edit the windy_city.xml(NEW created) and save
    4. drag drop to disrupt.conver.xml
    5. rename the windy_city_converted.rml to .xml windy_city.game.xml

    test

    hope it helps

It appeared as a once off issue so don't stress. :)

Yes the standalone returned rain drops to normal. Thank you.

With the latest silent hill fog look, does it ever rain?

no, it will weather will change( if think righ, at latest after 10 min playtime)
but its n. big ddifference between frain 0.35 and 0.55)

it gives 2 without rain See the Code settings above ;-)

next time i change to less rain for 3 weatherpresets. fRain="0.02" for one, and 2 other i must test (i think the same with clouds)

    I don't understand a word you wrote :(

The rains per sec standalone should only change the number of rain drops on screen from what I understand.

Do the main files have changes to weather frequency and duration too? By that I mean does it rain more often, show fog more often/show stronger fog more often, reduced sunny days more often etc?

I'm currently using the standalone so the increased rain drops have been removed :)

sorry, wrote short and fast with phone and at work.

windy_city.game.xm. has also influence of duration and changing time, but other llines than the excerp Code above

    exampl for the situation
clear = no rain, no clouds, less fog (should be changed after 10 min [less or more]
to clear rain0cloud0.4 preset and so on....
the values clouds=, frain=** gives the intensity )

is that good to understand ?

Thanks Markduk but the gibberish in the windy_city file are just a bunch of numbers to me but yeah will play around with them see what happens.

I did unpack the envoirement.lib already gives me nothing useful at all , but will try mlleemiles his file and compare things I guess.

Try to deactivate the HDR effect of sfx and compare
you lost some Details in distance and dark areas. makes very bright.
it test long time ago. the advantage is a more detailed and better look for the other eviroment.

but nice Video, will took it to the Merged mod thread;-)
