[TUT]Unlock MSI Afterburner Voltage limit with Cheat Engine

    Does this have to be done every time AB is run, or will AB be able to save the altered settings to a profile?

    Also anyone trying this remember to run a custom setup of CheatEngine, it wants to set a default search page for your browser otherwise.

    Interesting none the less, but that CheatEngine program is raising some alarm bells, any other user seen this program before?

    Cheat Engine is a software for making Game trainer ! this is an old program and all gamers know that !

    there is so much wrong with this its not even funny :bang:



    1.AB already supports voltage control unlocking on cards that support it if your card doesn't have a programmable voltage controller then you can set whatever values you want but its not gonna do anything even if GPU-z reports otherwise

    2. even if you could set a voltage outside of the normal supported range you are likely to burn something out

    CE is older then dirt its been around for ages its entirely legit just not in this application ..
    also there is nothing professional about this anybody that knows anything about Cheat engine could have figured this out infact ages ago I tried setting the voltage via CE before my card had support it doesn't work all it does it change the value in the UI

    This method is only for benchmarking
    Video proof of this in the first post, that is the right approach
    My GTX 780 graphics card, the voltage of 1.26,
    However, this method is easily Voltage 1.29, 1.29 is a screen shot to prove to the voltage
    This method has the lowest risk for graphics cards.
    It's just a numbers game and that makes it the number of voltage change
    Such changes and cheating in games, but when this method is feasible
    How do you do it wrong?

    CheatEngine is legit software which I have used. It was developed by Dark_Byte who is prob not the OP, however the links are clean.

    i havent tried in a while, but doesnt xcl also increase the voltage limit and not only gpu clock ?

    i'd rather not play around in Afterburnerwith Cheat engine.
    Even tough Cheat engine is usefull software.

    it's just like artmoney

    note: you can cheat vol only VGA used can be unlock voltage (use voltage controler could be unlock)

    ext: VGA use RT8802A you can not cheat voltage
