Watch Dogs Light DOF mod v1.3 (works with Bad Blood DLC) Description: The graphical mods are using strong Depth of Field settings that makes the game look more cinematic and perfect for taking amazing screenshots. But it sometimes makes the game uncomfortable to play. For example - when camera focused on one enemy the area behind him is becoming so blurry that it's hard to see the other enemies and other points of interest. It's very inconvenient when you want to complete the mission undetected in stealth style. So I made this mod for better visual quality without breaking the gameplay experience and it's safe to play online. Features: - light dynamic and static background Depth of Field effect in all major cameras (singleplayer and multiplayer) - reduced Depth of Field on dashboard - includes E3 camera perspective and Yizan's Unlocked vehicle interior camera - works with Bad Blood DLC - works with latest patch v.1.06.329 Changelog: v1.3 - Walking camera perspective updated. Now it's just like E3 one, thanks to machine4578 from Guru3D forum! v1.2 - integrated with latest patch v1.05.324 + Bad Blood DLC v1.1 - integrated with latest patch v1.04.497 Screenshots: Dynamic DOF and New E3 camera: Static Background DOF: Downloads: Download from NexusMods (v1.3 and older versions): http://www.nexusmods.com/watchdogs/...mods.com/watchdogs/ajax/modfiles/?id=12&pUp=1 Download from Mediafire (v1.3): http://www.mediafire.com/download/htpm2vjbbxygmrr/Light_DOF_for_Watch_Dogs_by_TXGTv13.zip Standalone file: I also provided the standalone file for integration with other mods. http://www.mediafire.com/download/s06u12dlftz4661/Light_DOF_Standalone_v1.3.zip How to integrate with other mods: http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4908250&postcount=18 Credits: Big thanks goes to guys from Guru3d forum: Yizan and machine4578 for their hard work! BossMafioso for explaining me the DOF values!
Thank you for the standalone dof file txgt I wish more people would release standalone mods thank you!
Thanks for this mod!! The DoF is perfect all the other mods had it way to close to the camera which was useless if you wanted to play the game.
Ubisoft could've release the game with that kind of DOF setting. The values I used I took from vanilla's Avatar.Default.Aiming.xml. They could've just make all other xmls like that, it doesn't hurt the performance that much and it makes the objects in the distance look nicer. Those who don't want the DOF always have the option to turn it off in the graphics settings.
Today I've tried to customize the mod from The Worse/cmh175 by integrating the "Light DOF mod" from txgt (standalone version)... and I like it very much!
I do appreciate your work people, but please, i have to subscribe membership to another site, just to download this. Would it be too hard to upload on some normal site where they don't force me to be member, like mediafire? I often visit other games modding forums and sites like Nexus or pretty rare as far as i can see. That is the reason i don't want to visit there unless i have no other choice.
Man, I thought that everyone can download files from Nexus) Turns out only files less than 2 MB can be downloaded by everyone. Uploading now... )
Man, no idea how to combine this with other mods (patch files). Would love to combine it with Lunayahs Watch Dogs Enhanced Mod. Anyone willing to explain it or have a good link?
Hey man! Thanks for using my mod! Here's how to combine my DOF mod: Download this file: http://svn.gib.me/builds/disrupt/disrupt-r49_b37.zip Unpack it anywhere you want. Go to the unpacked folder and open "bin" folder Drag & drop "patch.dat" file or "patch.fat" file that represents your mod of choice to the file named "Gibbed.Disrupt.Unpack.exe" in "bin" folder After that the folder named "patch_unpack" will be created in the folder you drag & drop from. Go to that folder and open this directory: generated/databases/generic Put there "cameracontext.lib" file from my standalone archive. Drag & drop "patch_unpack" folder to the file named "Gibbed.Disrupt.Pack.exe" in "bin" folder After that you will see two files named "patch_unpack.dat" and "patch_unpack.fat". Rename this files to "patch.dat" and "patch.fat" And you're good to go ). If you get an error when unpacking download and install this software: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20914
