This is the next beta driver that is giving me BSOD. None beta driver from AMD is working for me.
Only the official 14.4 seems to work for me. Although I said it recently: I hate AMD. :bang:

Where is it giving you bsod? On load (game, rendering sftware, etc.) or while os boot or during driver installation?

Are you sure your psu is enough for your hardware? I'm not sure but i think 550W may be a little bit too low for your fairly beastly machine.

Im pretty sure that my PSU is enough. The BSOD never occur while on load. They always appear while im idle in Windows. It starts with some flickering, followed by glicthes and the screen goes blank. Sometimes the system comes back with a message that AMD driver had to be restarted. Mostly after my TFT has gone into sleep mode.

Once again: It only happens with beta drivers. 14.4 works like a charm. But to be honest: I would like to use some benefits of the new betas concerning Thief or Watchdogs for example. Im really frustrated with this AMD betas. :bang:

Probably just a support driver for new cards, not expecting anything new. There were some talks about new CCC , what happened to that? I would love to see some new tweaks and features inside , like NVCP had for years.

I see no Linux notes; but hopefully AMD throws something interesting.

No one noticed that they also mention Catalyst 14.30 in that image?

Well the current driver (14.7 RC3) is build 14.20.1004 (Information -> Software in CCC) so a major update could change it to 14.30.xxxx :)

i've been seeing that since i first used a 4870x2 in 2008, my guess is something DVI/cable/monitor specific

have you tried messing with the 2 dvi checkboxes in CCC? alternate + reduce

AMD has said they arent ever going to do that.

They want CCC to be basic, and leave the tweaks up to 3rd party developers.

Didn't AMD just hire some new guy that said they were revamping CCC during a webcast not to long ago?

no, Raptr hired a new guy (John Mautari aka Japamd, the developer of Radeon Pro.)

Raptr is a PARTNER of AMD, not part of it.

Huddy said they are redesigning CCC yes.

I am currently running 14.7 RC3 and I get black screen after sleep or hibernation. Turn the computer back on, nothing ever comes up. I even waited an hour and my TV turned itself off because no signal.

I tried the whole under-clocking of GFX RAM and it made no difference. I went in steps of 10Mhz ten separate times. My only solution thus far, other than doing full shutdowns every night instead of sleep or hibernation, has been to simply unplug the HDMI cable on the graphics card end, wait 1 second and plug it back in. Works just like normal after that.

EDIT - Sorry, I forgot to mention that my specs are not up to date. I'm using the following.

    i5-4690k
    ASUS Z97-Pro
    HiS R9 280X
    G.Skill 8GB 2133Mhz CL9
    250GB Samsung 840 Evo
    750W OCZ PSU.

I said approx 10 years ago i will never buy another amd graphics card , i cant remember what the card was back then but it was supposed to be the best on the market and there return to greatness but it was plagued with driver issues.

Fast forward to today and its the same all over again barely had this card 6 months and every driver after 13.12 results in this :-

ill just pay the extra next time and stick with nvidea because this a joke , some things never change.
