Well with sweetfx I add sharpening but I only use it if Im having txaa on or if I use Extra HQ mod. Im also using a light effect which is nice

Important Update

Guys tomorrow I will release a fixed version of Extra HQ.

fixed shadows blur ,
some textures have been removed due to too much sharpness
New HQ flare included-.

 

Lunayah you re awesome man... with your last extra hq, settings on high evrywhere, I have been able to play for the first time without any shutters and with an amazing quality.. please stop your mod and go work for ubi... like this we will be able to play our games on day 1

With my 780 Superclocked, i5 3570K @3Ghz, and the newest Extra HQ version, Watch Dogs runs great with High textures and Ultra settings!

Only thing I wish is to reduce the jazzy edges, increasing AA only cause major stuttering lol.. Hopefully when I SLI my 780 it will fix that!

the only thing that would make it better is if the shadows were softer,
mayb more blured or not as intense could help too.

Awesome to hear that you are enjoying the mod man. I will release a Extra HQ fix for excessive jaggies, better shadows and HD headlights. and some minor bug fix tomorrow.

Lunayah I have a question:
Based on the assumption that both settings that I mention gives me same fps which one has the better quality and which one you suggest:

HQ mod 3.1 fixed:Ultra textures,TXAA 2X,Ultra quality except Shadows High
or
Extra HQ:Ultra textures,TXAA 2X,Ultra quality except shadows and reflection high(maybe put lod high but right now it is ultra)

 

Hi, I have similar setup, same cpu but my gpu is 780 ti (oc. ed.) and 16 GB RAM. If you want to tweak the AA, you can do it in the nvidia control panel, it is better for performance. Or try the TXAA options, they work really well on my setup.

welll in both mods

reflections, shadows, and lod control more things than just that in the engine
but in extra hq you will get more quality.
Extra HQ has maximun values but you ll notice that by setting at least one of those things to high specially shadows, your performance will signigficantly increase.

anyway all the values on ultra have been modified on extra hq but the other settings were left nearly the same as in the hq mods in order for people that do
not have the gpu power can play the game just fine in high or lower

Dont worry about it, it was just experimental but I guess the game wont benefit of changes done to that. so dont worry about that tweak cause it wont do anything I guess. i had set it through the overall, not to only WD. but oh well

Thanks for your great Mod. I use your latest Extra HQ 3.1 mod (downloaded on 30th) with Textures in High and Graphic Setting in Ultra, no stutter at all.

I dont found the shadow bias values =( , the only way to smooth borders was making more width the light area.

Hi Lunayah, I tried your latests mod (New Extra HD mod 3.1), and with the new patch the game works great now. All in ultra, almost no stuttering, just a little bit and it is very rare.
