EVGA retracts PrecisionX 15 download - issues a statement

The damage has already been done, no more EVGA for me.

 

Yeah, EVGA is dead to me aswell. I always liked their cards, but treating people like this should be punished.

 

bad bad move, boycott EVGA for good now.

 

I have used EVGA cards exclusively since the 500 series came about in 2010, and I too am extremely turned off by all of this BS.

My next card (probably an 880 Ti) will most likely be an MSI.

Same here, I use(d) evga cards both at home and in the computers I build customers at work, which I will no longer do.

 

I was already done with them when they sold a second version of the 460 1GB on new egg without 90 day step up without any mention of it. This just enforced it. Maybe Asus or MSi next time for me.

 

I'm so glad those doucebags on other sites are now eating their words.

 

At least they should have admitted the copy-paste situation... Cowards...

lol i would like to see that. they lied got exposed and taking they own "100%" software down, it was a very douchbag move, they deserve all the bad criticism even more than that.... i'm sure it gonna hurt them.

They did the right thing eventually. If this was EA nothing would have changed at all. I give them props for retracting the download.

 

Brand new EVGA products are so hard to get in the UK when first released that i normally go for something else anyhow. It takes months before they get over here.....

Anyhow good that its been retracted, i respect them for doing the right thing.

I don't know if I'd call it doing the right thing. They just got caught in the act and have to do damage control now.

Either way, EVGA is on my blacklist for parts now.

yep, when i bought my mighty 780 back at Nov 2013, i had to choose between MSI gamer, EVGA ACX, and Zotac AMP edition, and well... the AMP edition was the cheapest and yet it's brutal effective, highly binned chip.
