Why don't you make a comparisson during day? Clear night is always the same across every mod version.

I've tried to like this version, but unless I use a really agressive Sweetfx profile, it just looks too 'washed out' with these fog settings and the over strong bloom.

Having to use too aggressive a sweetfx profile introduces multiple other problems like crushed blacks and loss of details too, so overall it's just worse.

In it's current state it gets a no from me, but it has potential I think with some tweaking :)

Hey TheWorse! How is your brain?

I hope these ignorant people don't give you brain cancer!

When will you make an appearance on /r/pcmasterrace again?

Also, do you run Windows 7? Do you have aero disabled?

Thanks TheWorse for your hard work. Unfortunately 0.97c performance is bad for me :( (high texture) having massive stuttering.

If the people who doesnt can imagine or understand a noticeable improvement, would read all the 350+ pages of the threads, they would SEE there is an improvement.

There where several posts in famous and public newssites about his work -not only here -that are not only screenshot comparsions. It has to do with gamebalancing and something that ubisoft have never ended by themself.

Many other users (me included) are grateful that TheWorse share his work. Because he doesnt need. If some of the community would not only bleat over and over and over again, here is a good places for bugfixing!

my personal taste is that 0.97c looks great, a bit to foggy but great. if i want to change somethig, i can do it, because all of the tools and steps was already postet.
but i wait for the next release -and if i dont want to wait, i can play vanilla :D

IMHO i think that it looks better at all. ThX2TW

PS: Best of luck on sunday in RiO, may the force be with us ;)

0.97 has screwed up some shadows. Take the bus shelters for instance. The shadow distance is low and the shadows often disappear randomly. Noticed this on 0.8v as well.

Great mod! The only thing i have and i don't like is that i see many times a direct line in the water. from water to fog line/lod.
Example it looks like there is drawed a line with a straight stick.
    Can i fix this ?

I have no idea why you are getting 25fps. Running around on foot I get about 40fps most of the time, and driving it dips to 35.

And your CPU is fine. You only need an i5 3570K to get the most out of it (CPU wise).

The view from "in-car" camera is super bright during daytime!

No, seriously, you gotta ease up on the lighting. Or maybe it's the HDR problem?

I also noticed that the Chopper's headlights don't cast shadows, all other bikes do though.

And Train headlights don't cast shadows like in E3 2012 Demo :(

don't think it has anything to do with his or her card i also have a buddy wich version is about 30% darker calibration then my standard and to prove that me and the worse have diffrent cards yet we still have the same result check you system check if u didn't skip anything etc then again i do understand that the history of this mod is pretty long and confusing to some ...

the worse i used your sweetfx preset injector and i was suprised very nice here's a video to show off a bit ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFMhnNBEQR0&list=UUQF5iF6pBYCALnsKovguNVw&index=1

    May I add some suggestions:

    Increased population and cars,
    E3 helicopter spotlights,
E3 lens flares on car headlights,
    Increased shadow distance LOD,
Remove the aliasing from the Ambrose theatre textures,
Remove the aliasing from most of Pawnee's textures.

Everything else is about spot on!
