Loving the mod! Thank god you fixed the overly bright sky. It made it seem like a nuke was going off in the sky, lol. Hope you can fix the ultra performance soon.

Well when Kadz releases his 0.3 beta try for yourself, you will most likely won't use any other mod.

Kadz from the videos you are using a static DOF i guess, if so you can consider using user BOSS DOF which is the best DOF so far.

The worse mod= vanilla+ DoF+ bugs.

Kad's mod= better graphics,real tree animations, gorgeous explosions, ...etc

 

He will be releasing different DoF's see this quote in response to my same comments yesterday...

Overall performance enhancements and 1.03 patch integration required though imo. 0.8 is not as good overall aesthetically, but the performance was silky smooth at max settings, 60fps.

^^Yeah exactly, DOF isn't even what KAdz was working on this whole time. In the end BOSS, Vass whatever will make DoF versions for Kadz mod, if we ask they can give their DoF values or maybe do it themselves in a configurator of sorts.

 

Thanks for the reply, I checked the front page, it doesn't mention what I need to install this mod. What are the prerequisites? Probably a good thing to mention on the front page.......

Will it work with the latest ubisoft update?
Do I have to play offline?
etc etc should be put on front page

 

I have no facebook account, but i want to test the mod. Why there isn't a link in the first post, so everyone can test the mod? In the screenshots and videos it looks much better than TheWorse' Mod, and if it hasn'n as much bugs as TheWorse Mod, I want to change.

Please post the mod. This is just a mod not a game, which needs closed-betas.

 

It's a matter of preference.
As of now, I love Kadzait24 mod and after trying both, his mod is the best one for me. Even before trying it I was baffled by the videos and screenshots.
I think it has unbeatable atmosphere and mood, better effects, it makes the city feel alive. I don't know how to describe it better. It has excellent art direction.

But then again, it comes down to taste and preference.
TheWorse's has a different focus I guess. It's more performance oriented and as some nice optimizations, but I think it lacks in areas that are important to me (mainly lack of atmosphere and mood).

I think Kadzait24's mod, would be even better with the following options:

1 - An option to have dynamic DOF (Similar to the options on the TheWorse's mod, made by Vaas or Boss), so that when you look to an object it would auto-focus on that object, and objects on the same direction/distance.

2 - An Ultra textures optimization, for people without more than 2GB Vram. I guess Maldo ultra texture optimizations, mixed high and ultra textures to fit on those 2GB of Vram.
Another option would be to resize ultra textures to a lower resolution, while trying to maintain as much detail as possible (Guess this would be very time consuming, but ultimately would prevent us from exhausting Vram and running into stuttering issues)

Im going to do the final tuning for the 0.3 and upload it in about 1 hour at the FB page.

About the DOF, thats not what im working on. So i will just release it with same DOF as before, but a little more away, so its not too close.

As i dont have time to create DOF dynamic for the mod, im focusing at other stuff. If the user BOSS made one that looks good, ask him and i will check it out then apply and say is his DOF file, i have no problems about it, its just a DOF.
