I sent the older config tool to johannah, I'll will send him or her the update files so he o she can replace them and upload the config tool again with all files needed.

Also trees moving strange will be fixed as well.

 

If you don't want to deal with the config tool provided and just want the "default/recommended settings" Use my tool and install this patch with a single button press. I'll add all the available options later, for now I am leaving work and driving home.

Wow, the config-tool is super cool. And the options...super awesome! :thumbup:

A few questions though: Can we get a bit more infos (or even comparison screens) for some of the options?

For instance:

- lighting change - how does it look
- ultra texture hack - does it apply only when I chose "ultra" textures ingame?
- Civilian Density - does "off" mean better performance (I guess...)

And a general question: It seems the patch.dat is getting encrypted. I guess the original patch is still in there, right? Or does the mod set the game into a pre-patch state?

Used the tool again and now the patch.dat file is about 1.5MB.

Temporal SMAA, 1920x1080, No stutter with everything on ultra!

The tool will pack notexturesversion or texturesversion plus files from the user selection. Ubi patch must be inside both folders as a base.

 

Does "Optimized LOD" lower texture quality or something?
Just wondering if I should turn it on or off for maximum quality.

So far, my personal best is: WD Patch Fix 2, Vaas Normal DOF Ultra, The Worse 0.7b and Ubipatch. It is 2GB..

I just waiting for 0.8 version with this pack.. Stop playing with colors, and please work on graphics, performance, light, etc.

Simply, guys, work on what you know best, but without much "chemistry".

I think the optimized LoD is not available yet

 

Bit cumbersome but I installed it manually by browsing through the downloaded files and copy/pasting, wasn't too difficult (The folder structure is quite clear.) and gives a pretty precise control over what's included so I can strip away components I do not need. (Which the installer would do but it seems buggy so I removed it.)

 

Are we clear to update the game with Ubisoft patch prior to this mod? Or whats the deal exaclty? thanks!

 

Okay 0.8 is released. Ill have a look at which files are the same and compare the binhex's and all that. Again, not hard, your just not telling anyone what you did exactly and its getting to be fustrating
