    Well in that case I would just match up shadows instead of the time of day :p

    I'm not saying I don't believe you. Just trying to think of ways you could easily match up screenshots with the same sun direction. Like... I can use cheat engine to change the time of day gradually until the shadows match up exactly. Then freeze it and take a screenshot. It's really only the sun direction that makes the difference anyway, as the game changes more when the sun points more towards the camera.

    But I doubt I'll ever have the patience to do comparison shots.

    Its not even possible as the "sun" or lighting source is changed, shadows are also changed, specular and reflections, etc that reacts to the light source in a different way. So its not even possible to find " a way " to take a shot exactly all the same. Even sky, projected clouds and cubemaps are changed, everything reacts to light sources, even rain has specular changes , rimlights etc etc etc

    Maybe some people thinks this is a lame colograding change, thats not it.

    The game is a mod, it can never be the same as an original. You could like a modded game or not, thats of course taste.

    But it will never look "the same" , not in ToD, not in anything.

    so you replaced it with another weather state then vanila would use here that you found ?

    ok then could you show off the SSS difference you talked about, especially in the light state where the face normally becomes really harsh in vanilla :)

    Again, i never used SweetFX. If you believe thats using SweetFX then you have your answer, and some other people too. Its not a lame colograding change either, thats also changed but it doesnt affects the global visual of the game. Ive made a lot of changes, thats why i get some bugs from time to time to be solved by doing this, like the cones.

    Here is some other example of all this im talking about...

    This is sunset in the WIP 5.0 , with some object texturing that also reacts to light sources. There is no RAIN, since some people can say there could be affected by that...

    Also, there is other debris/fog/ambient feeling totally changed from vanilla, it will never be the same game, in any visual aspect.

    You can like it or not, of course. But it does changes and the change is huge.

    And i cant be on everyone's tastes. Im modding it and i do it my way right now, when i release this mod i can hear recommendations for every aspect of the game, now i need to focus on the modding.

    You have TXAA on 3.0 screen and SMAA on 5.0 version .. super comparsion.
    next thing

    New Building Reflections.
    New Clouds system.
    Fog, New Skies.
    New Parallax, that looks outstanding now.
    Added SubSurface Scattering.

    these in 5.0 where are they in that picture ?

    You have all that in the last shots and there in that shot you can see clouds, building reflections, fog, new sky, new parallax, and subsurface scattering is turned on.

    you should find that NPC very easily shes virtually everywhere and not that bad designed overall :)

    Cones of Death

    Hey AlphaZ,
    I see that you mentioned the "Cones of Death" again. Are they still present or were you able to fix that issue? I am still getting the cones. Sometimes when I am driving, the cones appear, then it launches me out of the car!! Crazy huh! Just wanted to give you some more feedback on the Beta!

    Still present as im not focusing on that yet. The WIP people got as private beta was just a test to see how it works with official patch as well, which clearly it doesnt.

    The cones will be fixed, as i already fixed the flickering buildings and lights with my new added stuff that people didnt get yet.

    Im also applying object texturing, so it will take some time, but the result will be good, trust me.
