So my friend gonna get his new Benq XL2420Z today or tommorow and it looks very good by reviews, plus we have local store with older model that looks good. I currently have S23A700D and i most say, i never seen better looking monitor, specially after calibration(it comes very well calibrated, but a hardware enthusiast will make it even more . everything looks Perfect, the living world look poor compared to it... So i wonder, Do u satisfied from your monitor?
Hmm, a 24" TN panel at 1080p. Nah, I'll take a Qnix over it any day, at some £70 less. And yes, I'm very satisfied with my 27", 1440p, 120hz PLS monitor for under £220. So are many other gurus
Yes, its a EIZO FS 2333 bought for ~ 315e Dec.2012. Although I would be a little happier if it had a bit better contrast, its a IPS+8bit interpol. panel. Here is a funny thing, now that I got this 780GTX everything looks less "blurry", especially something like Mortal Kombat KE @ vsync, use to see slight pixel ghosting now its like it has faster refresh rate or faster g2g. That to be honest I wasnt expecting that
24" 1080p is actually a pretty decent combo, ppi wise. But what most of these monitors lack is the size, the image quality and the even better ppi of Koreans. For less money. We know we love them for a reason, right?
The Qnix is plenty smooth. Don't get me wrong, G-Sync sounds great, but I prefer 27", 1440p and PLS. Shame there isn't a G-Sync Qnix that works with any gpu.
Make sense but Samsung make one of the best TN panels if not the best, all my friends didn't even knew it was TN until i told them. This monitor is perfect and it really better than a lot of so called IPS or other TN panels, it just so beautiful u won't believe it's a TN panel. My next move will be 4K Gsync 3D Vision in the next years...
maybe it's one of the better TN panels, but still no patch on koreans. I personally can't stand the viewing angles of TN monitors. if you can, go for it, enjoy.
A good ips will beat the best tn has to offer I just can't go back to tn monitors now. What we need is a 30 inch 4k gsync/freesync ips with good backlighting and low response time... oh and for under a grand
I have the S27A950D, which is the from the same model line-up as yours. I also think these are best TNs ever made. What makes them especially striking is the glossy screens and color accuracy (for TNs). For games and movies this TN looks far more impressive to me than my other 'superior' IPS and PLS displays (Yamakasi DS270 and a Qnix 2710). But I put that down strictly to the glossy clear coating, nothing more. The latter 2 look better with photos and general desktop usage, esp with the higher res. I'm about to sell the 950D to a friend who also thinks its the best looking display he's seen. The 4k Sammy TN is also getting high marks from owners, many of whom were die-hard anti-TN advocates. The bad rap for TNs may justifiably be so for the 95% of units made, but the few premium TNs made are much better in viewing angles and color reproduction. They are just not viable to produce and market as premiums (other than for gamers) since their cost almost approaches the more expensive IPS varieties and still would not be a choice for the pro or business markets. If Samsung made another glossy TN exactly like my 950D, but with higher res, I would get one in a heartbeat.
The made TN panel so proud, my friend got now BenQ XL2420Z and later today we compare the two. I will sell mine when 4k will affordable and Sammy or others can at least make monitor like this with higher end panel, low ms, better colour(though it close to perfection) Gsync... 3-4 years from now.
I don't like looking down on things, but I really can't stand TN anymore. It frustrates me that we have to compromise viewing angles and what seems like worse panel uniformity even when looking straight on (I've had that feeling with almost every TN I've used) vs. IPS / PLS for better response times and getting the clearest motion (which further worsens colors ala LightBoost / ULMB).
Overlord are working on a 120hz IPS 1440p - 27inch G-sync monitor. As soon as there available ill be grabbing one. Nice monitor Moab, enjoy.
Just ordered the XL2720Z which didn't have everything I'm looking for but I was limited to what I could get on Newegg (the curse of dat line o credit). Anyway, I'm super pumped about 1ms and 144hz (coming from 5ms and 60hz).
