    Screen Problem

Hey there, great work on the mod so far, the effects look fantastic!

I have a big problem since installing however which renders the game unplayable, namely the aspect ratio seems to have been incorrectly rendered, making the screen squashed and also creating a large area at the top of the screen which is doubling the pixels at the top? While loading this area flashes blue and generates flat random textures like steel or brick, presumably the textures loaded in the world.

My display is a 16:10 Dell u2412M running a resolution of 1920x1200. I've tried playing around with the resolution settings in the Game Profile and patch but to no avail.

A DoF like here would be perfect:

But I can imagine that it's very difficult to recreate something like this.

I'm using the same monitor and don't have any problems.
What does the Aspect Ratio in your W_D Display Options say?

I'll repeat this only one more time

    Changes 0.7:

Depth of field now has been changing to be playable for gameplay
Bloom has been changed so its not ovewhelming (still you need to tell me if this version is better)
Slighly changes to the lighting system including several settings from e3 2012 and e3 2013
Changes made to the rain system so now it should rain more between days, not all the time obviously.
Now the day will not be always clear
The tod system now is fully dynamic meaning there is no more delay on the shadow updates etc
    Headlight shadows has been fixed
There will be 3 presets inside the rar to choose a closer, a normal or a further camera

And many more things inside including different settings for the civilian pedestrian density.

16:10 here and had the same problem as well, just use your own XML file and you'll be fine.

Can anyone confirm if this image is accurate, and if so, where to find it?

I have the unpacker and am reasonably informed about how this works, I just can't find this file or anything that has "e3" in it.

    /vU02lnw.jpg

    domain is imgur.

I just signed up so it won't let me post links.

It's 16:10, i tried switching to 16:9 to see what happened but there was no difference between the two so something's preventing me from doing my native i imagine

I dont know much about 3D engine capabilities but it doesn't feel like something you can magically add. Though I'll let the experts decide.

Remember that "increased performance" is a feature of this mod according to the author. Then again, all PCs behave differently so it's not guaranteed that it the gain will major or even minimal. I hope the official patch will take care of that huge problem.

By this you mean not using the OP's one? So i'll still get all the effects of the mod by just using the default?

Just registered to say thank you for your work man, it's making the game so much more beautiful.. Not only us should be thanking you, but Ubisoft too! Also very ironic about the blackout dude, watch out maybe they sent a few fixers after you ;)

Great mod but can you make one patch omitting the "bokeh DOF" ie the blur effect or any way i can turn it off?
see the the effect is too strong i would like it too be turned off.

Dug up my old Guru3D account to congratulate you bro! Nice work! I look forward to your future modding discoveries! Reminds me of back in the Crysis 1 days of modding in 2007, jaja.

I'm wondering if you know of a way to increase the speed as which the DOF focuses the user's camera position? I ask because I like the strength of the DOF, but the transition time is a bit long, wondering if you could make it more instant possibly?

Also, I had a question about the headlight shadows and why they look so sharp compared to the environmental shadows? see a comparison here (remove spaces in link):
    neogaf. com/forum/showthread.php?p=116843747#post116843747
Is is possible to get both shadow types to be sharp? or maybe get the headlight shadows to match the softer environmental shadows?

    Thanks for reading bro.

Okay folks, so I took 3 screenshots in the same place with 3 different variations. These are without any additions no bloom or anything. Settings are all ultra except high textures and 2x TXAA.

    Mate this looks awesome.

One question regarding the distribution of updates: could you put your mod on github or bitbucket?

Man I can't wait for the update later today.

Just a thought on the bloom and DOF. It might be easier to just include ways for the user to change it depending on their preference. I think a lot of people agree that the DOF should be tweaked back a bit but I think the bloom is something people like according to their preference.
