Upcoming AMD Catalyst 14.6 driver slides

News of the download link must be spreading like wildfire. Download speed of the file has tanked where it's going to take 3 hours now.

 

What do you think, can we expect from this driver performance increase on HD5850 in WatchDogs?

I was going to ask if there's a ETA too. You have the drivers, do you have to wait till they go live on AMD website before they can be posted here or did they set a time after which they can be released to the public? Not sure how it works.

So we're basically waiting until America wakes up? That kinda sucks. I'm sure they intended this driver to be out on release day and that they do not mind that it goes online today.

Hmm. I just read it is Memorial Monday in America, so most of AMD staff has a day off. So that's why it's not on the AMD site yet. I'm sure AMD appreciates today if the press helps them release it. Plus, they intended it to be out on release day.

On a side note, and trust that I am not one to dwell on matters past, but if you actually read the OPs first post, the very first sentence is effectively "drivers will be released tomorrow".

He never claimed they were out at the moment of writing. The thread title, while perhaps misleading for some, made no such claim either.

BTW I read somewhere that series 14.x drivers do not support power limit setting and this causes throttling issues for many.

Is this still the case with this set?
