If there is ONE thing I would have loved to see in Watch Dogs in relation to their Nvidia partnership it's PCSS.
    http://developer.download.nvidia.com/shaderlibrary/docs/shadow_PCSS.pdf
    https://developer.nvidia.com/sites/default/files/akamai/gamedev/docs/PCSS_Integration.pdf

It looks absolutely fantastic in Black Flag and Arkham Origins :
    http://international.download.nvidia.com/geforce-com/international/comparisons/assassins-creed-iv-black-flag/assassins-creed-iv-black-flag-shadow-quality-comparison-1.html

I'm rather disappointed about the Nvidia-Ubisoft partnership this time around. HBAO+ and TXAA aren't enough in my opinion.
Nvidia have a lot of very interesting technologies which could have made a great impact on the game : Turbulence for volumetric smoke, Physx for persistent particles, PCSS as stated above, NVDOF, Hairworks etc.
    https://developer.nvidia.com/content/introducing-nvidia-gameworks#

As an Nvidia owner I wanted more purely and simply.

i see this when i click on order number but my key should be there too, i imagine tomorrow it'll show.

Yeah pre-ordered through Uplay. If it don't show up tonight like its supposed to this will likely be the last game I get through Uplay I mean steam users are pre-loading now.

No its TXAA, its gpu killer for this game, 2x titan black or 2x 780ti same fps results @ 1080p..

look here, someone asked this question

In watchdogs 4x TXAA acts like normal 8xmsaa, not max 2-4x msaa..

Also the game likes system ram, especially @ ultra textures/detail.
16gb is ideal and pagefile off or it will trash too much to pagefile..

someone with 8gb was able to disable too, he had 3gb vram guess that saved him vs someone with 2gb vram that had game crash after it filled ~5.2gb ram. Although maybe this one that crashed had "unstable system OC"

Kinda like GTA4 back in the days, 4gb was ok but had small fps stutters @ max textures when driving, 8gb eliminated that..
Guess Watchdogs now wants at least 8gb @ max, kinda like 4gb by GTA4. :D

No key sites are selling the steam version.

It's either expensive steam or finding a cheap uplay key elsewhere.

Well, Wolf: TNO's "day one patch" was actually the rest of the game.
There's very little actual patch/update in that 10GB. The bulk of it was the remainder of the game that is not on the retail discs.

MachineGames are still making a list of issues people are encountering and planning for the first real update for Wolf.

cheers, -Tj-, i'll monitor page file usage and perhaps increase it's size, i heard ssd performance helps here.
    thanks again.

Damn I thought you did. I will be grabbing the 2x4GB out of my main rig to put in the living room rig and visa versa to see which handles the game better. I don't think the main rig will handle ultra textures and TXAA in the games current form but the living room rig with the 780 may but lower settings elsewhere.

Watch_Dogs is 64-bit only and, correct me if I'm wrong, but the control panel triple buffering is for OpenGL engines only not DirectX 11 which both AC4 and this game use.

Using D3DOverrider and similar also only work on 32-bit games I believe.

All of that is irrelevant though as Watch_Dogs already uses triple buffering, at least the version I'm playing does as I'm getting around 50 FPS on average in game and no sudden drops from 60 to 30 FPS and back.

Well a little, but look at it this way, the game can use more then 8gb at ultra textures/detail.

Now a fast SSD with 550mb/s pagefile speeds vs system ram with 32-36gb/s (2133 or 2400mhz ram) is a huuuge difference for temp. storage :nerd:

I would just get another 8gb and disable pagefile all together, let the game use only system ram.
Although you can try it now with 8gb since you already have 4gb cards, maybe it will help and store extra on vram instead :)

i've a very bare unupdated win8.1 since the hax got me a few days back, so i got a slim gaming OS curently, i'll monitor both system ram and paged stuff, i used to disable the paging so no biggie.
i'll report my findings of course, another 8gb ain't chit for me this week thankfully but i'd rather not but i'll have to see just how much she needs.
was gonna clean my cpu but i could go more ram instead sure if she needs it.

You can also try this if you dont want to disable pagefile

add this by target shortcut .exe" -disablepagefilecheck

Imo this game is like GTA4 all over again,

2gb sys ram no way for high textures/detail, stutters and 1-2sec pauses.. I had to use low/medium, even with extra vram.
4gb was kinda ok @ max high, but still slight micro pauses stutters when driving around,
8gb was finally smooth, no more stutters when driving (didnt matter HDD or SSD). Now I was cpu bottlenecked again xD

Guess 8gb by GTA is now 16Gb by Watchdogs, but also pagefile off to prevent any disk trashing..
