Right the game and DLC are installed and activated. and it is now downloading a 40 MB patch. Fingers crossed I can actually play it. Soooooooooooooo excited!!!

You can play it, as my DeadSec version came yesterday. Spent most of last night playing it.

I'm running everything on Ultra and TXAAx4 and so far I've not had any fps issues, and I've only got a 680 GTX but I do have the classified edition so have 4gb of Ram on it.

 

Texture streaming seems to be really messed up.

High textures fill up the entire 2 GiB of VRAM, and you will have slight hitching even on an SSD. And those textures do not look good at all.

Medium textures fill up 1.6-1.7 GiB of VRAM, and there is no hitching whatsoever. But those textures look awful.

I am running exclusive fullscreen with 30 FPS limit in RTSS, and with Medium textures it runs perfectly.

I do hope they fix this, because I really want High textures, but that hitching is annoying.


I blame the new consoles to be honest, their unified memory systems to be exact. This problem does not exist if you have 4 GiB of VRAM. And Ultra textures will hitch even on 3 GiB of VRAM (my friend has a 780 Ti).

OMG! eating 2.7gb of VRAM but textures on high ? Holy cr** uke2:

What's the OC on your 980x? What's the RAM usage like?

 

For me it's using less than 2gb Vram with textures on ultra at 1680x1050 but is hitting the page file hard, I have it at a fixed size of 8gb and it's using all of it despite only using 4.7gb RAM. I get a lot of stuttering at those settings despite only 1.6-1.8gb vram usage so that may not be the problem.

It does seem a little odd that it would eat up the page file like that but leave so much physical memory unused.

What cpu cooling do you have? 75-80C yikes

I get ~ 65-74C on hottest core in something like x264HD benchmark @ 4.7ghz, nvm in games there it sits between 45-65C max

Game has no crossfire support and runs like dog **** ,frames hovering 30-40fps.
