I have a problem with RTSSHooksLoader64.exe in Win 8(.1). Sometimes the process is opened more than once. Sometimes 4-5 RTSS tasks in taskman, have manually to end them. Is this maybe due fast boot?

Using RTSS 6.0.0 final. I will try 6.1.0 now.

Sounds like same issue me and few others had .
Open the MSIAfterburner.cfg config file and add 10-20sec delay

StartupDelay = 20000 (value is in ms )

I set mine to 20sec and never had the issue come back, didn't try lower values as for me when Desktop shows AB loads a sec or so after so no need to go lower for me . Also there no other processes loading , next one down is like 11-15sec so I could try 10sec if I wanted and pretty sure it would work too.

    See if that helps .

My 2 MSI R9 290x's were stuck at 1030 MHz after changing my PCie power settings in the bios. When trying to change it in afterburner i'd hit apply and it would revert back to 1030 Mhz even at the desktop. GPU-z also showed it stuck at 1030 MHz.

I reverted them back to power saving and I am able again to change my MSI R9 290x core clock again and at idle it has dropped back down to 300 MHz ;)

I was racking my head as to why my idle temps were so high, now they are going back to normal ;)

This info could possibly help someone with that problem.

14.x drivers have issues with the clocks getting stuck in 3D mode. Happens with amd overdrive as well so its not AB. Flicking amd od on and off fixes it, usually until the next reboot.

ANyone able to get AB to automatically set the OC values on boot with any of the 14.x drivers? Everytime I start up I have to click profile 1 and then apply as it just won't do it automatically.

This problem is usually caused by conflict with Catalyst Control Center.

Either disable CCC auto-start or add a delay to starting MSI Afterburner:

In MSIAfterburner.cfg (in Afterburner install dir), under [Settings], there is variable "StartupDelay". It sets the delay in milliseconds, so 20000 would mean 20 seconds.

It also accepted the message about expired beta version: = (( It's annoying, especially when almost a year is not the final version. This great program, which MSI Afterburner is undoubtedly would have deserved the final version.

Sorry guys, I was not working on anything related to AB during last couple weeks because of all this crap happening with Russia/Ukraine, which depresses people here a lot. The place where I live is a border of Russia/Ukraine. I'll try but I cannot promise you next beta on the next week.

Take your time Alex, don't rush with new MSI AB Beta release.

Hope everything between Russia and Ukraine will be sorted out soon without no more civil od military casualties. You are russian, I'm ukrainian (5th generation of us living in Serbia, former ex-Yugoslavia) with roots on both sides of Ru/Ukr border and I share pain and fears of both sides, politicians are one to blame, ordinary people on both sides just want better life.

I don't want to start political argument here...

Wish you all the best dude, hope you and your family there will be OK and it'll stay like that in future.
