Heh, go use the platform for a bit, and then see if you feel the same way :p

I myself haven't used Optimus, but have heard far more/worse horror stories with it.

Nice job conveniently cropping out the burning part :p

That has nothing to do with mobility, only with Desktop Kaveri.

But anyway, new drivers STILL aren't featuring Mantle for laptops which is a ****ING MESS :bang: and the worst thing is, they removed the "Enduro not supports Mantle now"part so I had so many hopes but... I can't believe it :3eyes:

Seems like they totally forgot about their users now...

leekm is normal for be angry. saying "pls disable enduro support" for something is totaly bad business

and im not disable enduro support for work im disabling zerocore/crossfire gpu idle support.

there is "fixed muxless" mode option but i tried there is no driver supporting it.

with new driver on enduro 3dmark 06 not working im added regedit "KMD_APlusISharedMiniSegmentOptions" options to regedit.

lots of amd driver there. they cant agree we add this or not add this :D every driver chahing this important regedit settings for enduro. amd cant handle driver support for different machines.

More and more peeps complaining about these drivers.

These are BETAs, if you don't like go back to the WHQL.

But the issues is, even WHQL, the Enduro is not working correctly...
Just search on this forum, and you will found many people need to disable ULPS for workaround issues, and make the Enduro useless, as Enduro is to shut down the dGPU when not running game etc.

enduro need is 2 mod. offline gpu. full powered gpu.

normaly its simple when compared mobiltiy single gpu notebooks. mobility gpu need have 3-4 power stage... 150mhz.... 300... 6000 mhz like. but it can be problematic. specialy linux...

we are listening lots of time crossfire ulps is problematic. notebooks are designed for power management. but amd directy implemented problematic crossfire ulps method to enduro notebooks.

i cant understand what is problem ??? there is two option open gpu close gpu. if gpu running there is no difference with full open gpu.

i can understand full dgpu off not work. u must disable ulps. but full dgpu off mode(ulps-zerocore) working but game doing problems. i cant understand. because gpu opened and software only waiting idle mode for closing gpu.

enduro of crossfires important point is "close totaly gpu."

u not need active state power management for dgpu. because its need 2 work mod. full run of full close. its good because aspm slowing amd gpu. specialy in enduro. im tested pci express speed with aspm there is no difference but benchmarks slow...

close fully discrete gpu orrrr open it full without any pci or gpu power management. its good.

crossfire is combination 2 gpu. when they connected or disconnected they can do problem. i understand crossfire complex problems.

but endro is more more simple. there is no combination intel igpu with amd gpu. only close or open amd gpu. intel igpu must always working.

and all desktop ul problems are intel igpu problem.
    planning enduro driver more easy.
    amd must think only games.

problem is they are not design somethin for enduro. they are implenting directly from crosfire. we are taking crosfire users problems but our enduro more simple then crossfire.

crossifre problematic = enduro problematic. because amd copy all problems from crossfire.

crossfire is choice for desktop gpu. if im using desktop i can select crossfire or not.....

but if u buying new notebook u have not choice. u can only select optimus or enduro.

im very tired with muxless switchable graphics. im thinking next laptop with new hd graphics. 750 gflops is enough for me...

I'm confused; is Enduro referring to Intel iGPU + AMD dGPU systems, AMD iGPU + AMD dGPU systems, or both?

The latter (AMD iGPU + AMD dGPU) I've had very little trouble with.

But Kaveri is GCN 2.0, so they can just crossfire....
Whatever OEM is using Enduro on it, I has no idea what they are thinking...

This is referred to as PowerXpress (Dynamic Switchable Graphics technology) by AMD.
    eg. llano APU+dGPU: igpu(6520g or 6xxx, or 7xxx) + dgpu (6600 and 6700m or 7xxx), etc..
