As title suggest i play some intense performance hitting games like Bf4, COD etc and after say half an hour i start to get weird texture flickering and like textures spikes. Someone said this might be my idle clock speeds but im not sure. Anyone have any ideas? Ive under clocked my card to 1010 and 1495 now but doesnt do anything. Also put power limit to 20%...

What temp is your card hitting when you get the problem?

Hi mate, its hitting no more than 73c when on full load.

Dont have any artifacts, its like the textures are going in big patches, flickering, hard to describe

    Which drivers you using?

14.1 are having problems with lots of cards, 13.12 WHQL seem best atm

Try removing old drivers with DDU
    http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/

Then installing 13.12 and give it another shot

Had a few issues installing win 7 but it working. Might be worth doing fresh install with win 8.1 then use 13.2?

Do i get them off amd or msi site or not matter?

Ok cheers. So you think its worth doing a clean os install to elimate some pissible old corrupt driver issues? Just worried its the card.. only had it two weeks ;(

    Just use DDU in safemode
    http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/

That will get rid of any old / corrupt GPU drivers

If you can't fix it with drivers, and you had issues installing windows to begin with, then yea give windows install another shot to rule that out

Just make sure everything is stock, no OCing software installed like Afterburner etc

And make sure all your other drivers are installed, like chipset etc

If u raise only the GPU clocks back up again does it still flicker?

Not tried to go back up yet. Someone said try changing the dimm mem to channel 1 (ive currently on 2 as was having a bit of an issue with BSOD but got that sorted). Will see what keeps it stable first then will try slowly bumping up the clocks.

Trial and error now, just wanted to know if this was a common fault with quick fix but it looks like i need to do a bit at a time to hit the "sweet Spot" :D Thanks for your help

All good, if it starts flickering again u might need to bump up the GPU voltage a bit. Don't worry if the vram won't go higher than 1450 they have heaps of bandwidth anyway.

So to give you an idea what im getting:

This was from titanfall, its not a black wall, its where the texture flickered into black.

Is this an artifact issue? Not exactly sure what they call it these days. Let me see if i can get some shots from Bf4 or COD as well.

edit - just noticed i need 10 posts so will post in a couple of posts :D

Ah ok, that might be getting somewhere! How do i bump up the voltage? I should have quite a bit of spare power on my psu, think im only consuming around 4/500.

Again, thanks for your help Phil, appreciate quick repsonses

edit - this doesnt happen in anything else but 3d games, run tests in all the main programmes (furmark etc) and all good, just intense 3d games like cod, bf4 and titan fall.

You want the latest beta version of Afterburner from here
    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=385204

Go to the settings and check the "Unlock voltage control/monitoring"

Just slide the top voltage slider up a few mV and test, if it still happens, a few more, so on and so on

You won't blow anything, just keep an eye on heat the higher you go, you might need to make a User Defined fan profile from settings too to cope with the heat increase

Example I need +81mV to 100% stabilize 1100MHz on the core
