Hola all... I've been around forever though mostly lurk and learn. Normally I'm pretty quick and can figure things out but hit one that is stumping me... and I need your expert advice. I upgraded from three 1080p monitors to 3 - 1440p. Used to play 3 monitors with Skyrim no issue. Now that I can drive 7680 x 1440 every thing I play is cool. Neverwinter, Bioshock Infinite, War thunder, etc... all 7680 x 1440. Skyrim? It does not have a selection for 7680 x 1440. Geforce experience (332.21 drivers) shows a max resolution for skyrim of 2560 x 1440. Skyrim also maxes @ this resolution.... What gives? Systems Spec : i7 x 980 Hex core @ 3.33 Ghz Asus GTX 690 6 GB Memory 512 Boot Samsung boot SSD, 3 TB storage 3 asus 27 1440p monitors windows 8.1 any all help appreciated -Gerry
I'm honestly not sure. I'd think that I'd still get the resolution as a select in configuration, but generate an error message if I was out of vram.
You would prob be better off selling that 690 and get s couple 4gb gk104s and overclock that cpu to 4ghz plus too
Hi, Try forcing the resolution by editing the SkyrimPrefs.ini (../documents/my games/skyrim/) ... iSize H=1440 iSize W=7680 ... If performance is an issue, try switching off AA. Kind regards, chris
Not to be rude, but I don't think that is going to help him solve his current problem. The last three post's above me are all good places to start.
