    Hey guys i am having a recent issue with my asus 670 DC 2 my idle temps are high due to core and mem clock stuck at 915 and 3000 constantly.

    I tried clean install using DDU and using previous driver 332.21 and 334.67 beta
    still issue persists.

    Here are my MSI afterburner screenshots

    Does it happen w/o AB running ?

    In AB click the "I" button and see if anything is listed under "active 3d processes"
    If soadd a profile of the exe in RTSS with app detection mode set to none .

    Edit looking a screenshot I see you have LGS software , so my guess Lcore.exe will show up in active process .

    Try turning ShadowPlay off if you are running it at idle desktop. It forces 3D clocks on the desktop for me.

    It's likely the Logitech software (lcd keyboard?). In settings for this program disable enhanced graphics and reboot.

    Worked for me.

    Do you have power management set to adaptive in nvidia control panel?

    Hey thanks for the replies and helping me guys really appreciate it.

    @EdKiefer

    yes it happeans W/O AB i checked with gpu-z there also constant 915 core clock and 3000 mem clock in sensor.

    I clicked on I button on AB but there is nothing called active 3d process???.

    @gringopig

    I never turned on shadowplay.

    @ren008

    I use logitech wireless gaming headset G930 and yea i tried disabling enhanced graphics and reboot but it didnt work for me :(.

    @anxious_f0x

    They won't downclock when set to maximum performance, try changing it to adaptive then rebooting, I had the same problem.

    Awesome it worked i guess i didn't reboot after changing to adaptive so i was not seeing the changes.

    Thanks a lot for your help :D now the core clock and mem clock both are 324 and idle temp came down from 50 to 32 :banana:

    And I think, with Windows 8, just disable and enable graphic device will be fine.
    I always do this. ;P

    So you had the global profile on HP power management setting ?
    I never use global, always set each app to what I want settings to be .

    "I clicked on I button on AB but there is nothing called active 3d process???."

    If it says under active 3d processes "not detected"

    That means its not caused by a app raising the clocks cause its using GPU accelerated in some way . This would be a normal state .

    Make sure you haven't disabled ULPS by mistake.

    ULPS is greyed out in MSI Afterburner as it's for AMD cards, no need to worry about it with Nvidia.
