Maldo texture pack for Crysis 2 sets the game to Extreme preset, not Ultra, even if the game is actually maxed out (it's a trick to enable dynamic shadows). The crash and 100 % fan issues occur only with ingame Ultra preset (for me at least).

Do you have RadeonPro installed by any chance? I noticed that RadeonPro together with 14.1 would force my clocks to stick to default no matter what so maybe it's something similar in your case?

also, make sure OD is disabled in CCC or AB and CCC will orride each other and make a mess.

Well, i have radeon pro installed but not in use so im not sure if that can be the reason of the problem, can it??...also i have not used overdrive as recommended everywhere when using AB. About the on screen display its disabled right now but before 14.1 drivers i never had any issue even using it to fix fps to 60 or whatever i wanted ( its indeed a need in cliffs of dover to avoid stuttering ) ...anyway its only me thw one with the problem???...do i need to unistall radeon pro???

Try Overdrive through radeon pro. I personally removed it as the 14.1 driver has so many changes, the overdrive is different, and Mantle so I didn't want radeon pro to interfere.

Something very interesting that I was curious about Mantle. This is from Brent from Hardocp.

Then i will try removing completely radeon pro...but there is still one weird thing, why is this happening only in some specific titles???...:3eyes: and once again...is there anyone experiencing this problem??

    Nice:banana:

Nice. I really like to see in future Mantle games, high performance Antialiasing, some kind of Physics that will work fast, hymm it's only my dreams. Today games aren't good optmiized, in fact, before was better, devs put heart in games, today COD after COD, BF3,BF4

I have the exact same issue. My OC isn't always being applied. :bang:

it's harder to achieve today, with the variety that is on the market.

Ok, i have tried uninstalling radeon pro and disabling ULPS (using atiman) with NO succes :wanker: ...my problem is not that my OC is NEVER applied but it is SOME TIMES (dont know exactly whats the common point). Actually:

Games that work no problems with stable OC clocks:

    -Crysis 3
    -Crysis
    -BF4
    -BF3
    -MLL
    -War thunder
    -NZA2

Games not working well (with OC or unstable clocks):

    -TF2
-Il2 cliffs of dover(this one is VERY gpu intensive indeed:3eyes:)
    -Loadout
    -Brothers

Those are the games I have tested so far...all worked fine before 14.1 so...I would really apreciate if people with 7000 series or better could check this out...

As an example, here is the odd gpu load and clocks when playing TF2 (oc is set at 1175/1400 and power limit at +30 so no throteling):

While that might be the case when it comes to the SP portion of the game, I'm seeing a more robust/stable performance in the MP portion using Mantle.

In heavy/complicated scenes where with Direct3D I would get a severe performance drop, In Mantle I get a much smoother experience. 64 player servers now feel like 24/32 player ones.

Can't wait till AMD/DICE optimizes BF4 Mantle for GCN 1.0 GPUs.

I wonder when we can expect to see 14.2 Beta, hopefully with some of these GCN 1.0 optimizations... :)

Hopefully with mobility support.... I think its more important than GCN 1.0 optimizations so really ALL GCN users can enjoy Mantle, don't you think?

I find these benchmarks useless, they are obviously not cpu limited in whatever scenario they are testing. At Least not until they move to a more powerful video card.

Is it only me upset that VSync works without TrippleBuffering in mantle mode.
I keep playing DirectX and its more playable at 45-55 sometimes 60
    than Mantle's jumps between 30fps-60fps?

tripple buffering is a DX function, its obviously not going to work in mantle unless dice codes it in.
