AMD Catalyst 14.1 BETA 1.6 (13.350.1005.0 January 31)

Try couple of things if you have any issues with start-up, or stuttering. to sum it.



1. make a clean uninstall, use the ATI Uninstaller utility or ATT.
2. make sure you selected 59 Hz on a TV monitor and maybe normal PC monitor if you have, on laptop you can't.
3. make sure you ran Winsat for new score if using windows 7
4. make sure you revert the Pre-Render to 3 from 0 or any other number.
5. if BF4 doesn't run or you can't get in options make sure you disable your IGP and try again. no need for restart.
6. And to make sure after you Enable Mantle in BF4 exit game and re-run the game.

 

What happens if you disable the AMD Audio Devices in device manger? or are you using those?

Also for AMD video card try using Atiman Uninstaller v.8.3.5 instead of DDU

 

I seem to get higher fps in BF4 with mantle, I did however get some heavy lag when running out of bounds with the timer. Few dips here and there, think ill stick with DX11 till its rock solid

 

I'm getting the same, with and without crossfire enabled..
- game just stops, system freezes..

 

Yep, i gave up and reverted back to older driver. BF4 Crashed both DX11 and Mantle

 

mantle problems like power management related. pls try disable ulps from regedit if not tried. and can be heat issue ? because mantle using cards limits.

 

only different thing i found with this is that my idle temp are 32 degrees at 60% fan speed...with other drivers was down to 27 degrees at 60% fan speeds..

 

I'm getting significantly worse FPS in BF4 with Mantle enabled. I'll stick to DX11 for now, but I'm not opposed to change (when it works).

Side note, holy shimmering textures Batman...

 

So far, I am very impressed with mantle, better graphics and fps

There are some bad and random cpu spikes that stutter with the game every now and then

I imagine this is the performance issues AMD was talking about, and it will be fixed in the next driver

 

Strange issues here with the mantle driver like some reported, worked awesome first run in bf4, 60+ fps cos i lock frames at 60 (get into the 40s on DX11), then shut down and went to feed, started up and now performance is very low 30s on same map and others. Mouse also wont lock to game screen now while in options menu, i use 2 monitors. No idea what's going on.

 

How to restore default color on Windows?

I am also having this red tint...

I did, that did the trick for me (3 reboots) now it's to be seen if it won't do it again somehow

 

Go into Catalyst Control Panel> My Digital Flat Panels> Display Color
There, set the Color Temperature Control to 6500k or to your liking.

I had same issue. I disable second monitor for it to work.

 

Your performance skyrocket. That is awesome man. Is this on a full server?

 

How many monitors do you have? Same issue here if I have second monitor active. Locked 40 fps.

 

Issue here with 2 7950's Windows 8 x64
When monitor switches off and GPU suspdends, CPU is used quite a lot, maybe 30, 40% on all threads (3770k) unlike previous drivers using nothing.

Fixed doing a clean install. First time I've experienced issues with a dirty install!

 

yeh ive tried that doesnt work.. ive tried nearly everything. only driver that worked for me was 13.11 9.2 beta

i might try this uninstaller and then redo the drivers and see how we go..
