AMD Catalyst Mantle Driver Delayed

Well, glad I didn't wait to install graphics drivers on my fresh Windows install earlier.

 

Your forgetting about the 24hr press evaluation, which has to happen before we get the drivers, so if the driver team are still putting the finishing touches to it now, then that 24hr evaluation hasn't started yet.

I'll give you all something else to think about as well, was the BF4 Mantle patch ready in December after all, as isn't it funny that the Mantle drivers are still not done yet, that are needed for it to be used

 

so next tuesday maybe wednesday even. I love that display pick by the way.

If the problem is only the installer, it will probably not need to go over press. (I think?)

 

They dont have it yet either.

 

I don't really get it.. if there is only a problem with the installer, than why don't they release a standalone driver version for those who can't wait? Sure it is a little more work to install them manually, but it is possible, and I think people would be happy to try it that way, and install the full package later if they are ready...

The driver team never released on a weekend in the past. If i was them i'd leave it till next week and go chug a brew and root.

 

I just read this on SWECLOCKERS, what a shame AMD (not that I can use Mantle to begin with).

Imho the Press can lick our bags!!!!!!! How bout giving the driver out to those who actually pay for their products???? And btw, check my specs, I have a NVidia card. But I want peeps who CAN utilize Mantle, to be able TO utilize Mantle!!!!!

 

Don't worry. The press will help us. Someone WILL leak the driver, that's almost for sure. In a couple of hours, every desktop AMD gcn user will be able to get hands on Mantle.
