    need gfx

    Im thinking an APU...

    CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M2A1866C10

    AMD A10-7850K Kaveri 3.7GHz Socket FM2+ 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor AMD Radeon R7 series AD785KXBJABOX

GIGABYTE GA-F2A75M-HD2 (rev. 3.0) FM2+ AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

    (all from newegg)

price 419.97 CAD + shipping. that APU will run BF4 and take care of your GFX aswell...

    For an extra 150
HIS iPower IceQ X² Turbo H260XQMT1GD Radeon R7 260X 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Im pretty sure you could run it in SLI with the built in GPU on the APU...(you may have to get the 240 or 260. not sure

Better take some faster ram, 2133 or 2400 with that APU. 16GB is overkill. Don't expect to play at very high settings though with that setup.

Hey man I was just checking out NewEggg and I see they have a 3570K on sale for only $179, down from $229, that's a great deal. The FX-8320 is $159.

Oh wait I just noticed the i5 is open box hence why it's so cheap.

I don't want to step on anyone's toes here but on newegg canada you can get a Haswell 4670K. An ASUS Z87-A motherboard and 8GB (2x4GB) 1866 G.Skill ram (CL9 and 1.5V) for $482.97cnd.

Later you can get a better graphics card and a CPU cooler and overclock.

Yeah for 20 bucks more definately get an ivy or haswell. And dont overspend on a motherboard if you're not overclocking.

FM2 is for mid range APU's.

Okay.. So what I have notice so far.. Is The FM2, Have a built in Graphic card. My passed experience tells me too avoid the FM(s), As you are building the 2 Hottest run components into one Area. But I am also wonder if the APU/GPU can be disable or enable? To Bypass the APU on the CPU by adding in a Better Graphics card? I have never really like the Onboard Video from the motherboard as they have robbed memory from the system..

Yes you can disable the iGPU of the APU. However the processor side of the APU is considerably weaker compared to a FX8320 from AMD or a 4670K from Intel. In you OP you said you wanted a good base to work from and an APU is not the good base you are looking for.

8 GB is ample for most people. If using the IGP on the APU, go for fast 8GB. 2400 is the sweet spot for Kaveri, and it does support it.
