Thief game where never about the action if your thinking AC/COD or action games in general then you dont know what the original thief was about

Looks fine to me. Very reminiscent of Dishonored, only with a more realistic graphics style. If the game is good then I will almost certainly pick it up for my PS4.
I just can't do stealth games. I don't have the patience. I can't do Metal Gear, Thief, etc. Won't be going near this. Looks about as fun as picking egg shells in a closet all night.
indeed however some stealth games have an action mechanic added that lets us action folks get into it. for ex. deus ex HR and splinter cell blacklist.
The Deus Ex games aren't really stealth games, though. They're hybrids that allow you to choose your own path, you could run and gun your entire way through if you wanted. Although I'm a stealth whore tbh, I can't get enough of it.
basically I been into gaming since not long after bad company2, I got woken up to gaming with gta3, hooked on it by gta4, and a graphics ho by ..I dunno when that happened. anyways please list a couple other non-hybrid popular stealth games, please dude.
The Thief series is the prime example, although that's a given. The Hitman series up until the latest title at least (which I haven't played). Sure you kill people in it, but on the harder difficulties trying to take a run and gun approach is generally suicide. Amnesia could be considered a stealth title for all intensive purposes, you can't fight and as such it's run and hide whenever you encounter anything. There's probably a few more, but they're off the top of my head.
i'll maybe get it, I know my friend in work's gonna get it. i'll have to do action though haha. the rope is nice so long as you can shoot it to many places.
It's console gaming remember, regardless of whether it's PS4 or not. Sure, after further optimisation in the next couple of years the games will probably continue to increase graphically, but the hardware still remains the same and is really just a low/mid spec PC.
I don't know what you're saying? Unreal Engine 4 will be on consoles. It won't be as sharp as it will on PC naturally but it's been confirmed. Unreal Engine 3.5 has even made advancements (Sammaritan Demo) with dx11 instructions. I'm shocked this game uses a heavily moddified 3.0 engine. :bang: You also have to remember, even a high-end PC is only as good as the games it plays, 90% of those these days are console ports.
Do people actually use this as a saying? Please tell me no. Pre-ordered this though, didn't like previous thief games due to age (tried 3 last week), trust enough that this one will be good. They did a good translation of Deus Ex, which is very wonky to play if you're not used to it and haven't played it 20 times.
