Hi guys, so both tomb raider and hitman absolution games have greyed out 3d settings, i have an 7950 and an ue55f7000 samsung 3d tv and i have already played time ago both games in 3d. I don't understand what is happened but tomb raider has made a log in my documents, here an extract 23:12:35:169 (9052) > Loading AMD HD3D driver. 23:12:35:183 (9052) > Could not find AmdDxExtCreate11! 23:12:35:197 (9052) > AMD DirectX eXtension version: 8.0 23:12:35:211 (9052) > Could not load AMD stereoscopic extension! and sleeping dogs have the setting not greyed out but if i enable the 3d option, my gpu go to 99% and nothing happen, before my tv automatically recognize the 3d enabled games...i suppose it's a driver problem right ? I recently update to the last driver, i used amd clean utility and driver fusion...and i suppose this is the problem...any help will be greatly appreciated! Today i have used ati man unistaller and ddu,to see if the problem goes away, tried previously beta driver (13.11 beta 9.5) but nothing, i can't enable 3d in anyway! There's must be a way to fix this thing! Please help me!
yeah, i remember that i was using a 13.11 beta before 9.5 but i don't remember the specific build, and i played both hitman and tomb raider in 3d! Now only trine 2 work, but 3d in trine 2 is managed from the game, and is indipendent from driver as i know. And i play with silent hill downpour in 3d with ps3 perfectly fine, so it's a driver problem. Seem that tomb raider can't load a specific extension for 3d or i'm wrong ?
Try another set of drivers, maybe 13.12 WHQL. Also try doing a repair on steam for those games. Another thing is to check the cord as well.
Naw, if at some point lets say you use 13.8 and 13.9 and 13.10 and they worked but then it stopped at 13.11, 13.12 then that means they made some changes to the drivers that would be causing the problem and it wouldnt be anything hardware.
ok i understand what you mean, but the problem remain, i mean, i can't update driver because i lose 3d function and new drivers are better for certain games and functions added...it's ridiculous! Damn amd and their stupid driver :/
It could be catalyst control panel settings that got changed to default or disabled so I would try to play around with those settings.
there's no setting in catalyst control setting for 3d. Simple in the launcher of both tomb raider and hitman the relative option is suddenly become greyed out and the same is in the menu of both games. Extraordinary i already did that and nothing changed. Thanks guys for your help, but sometimes i hate so much amd! :bang::bang::bang:
