Same here, no crashes but harder than usual to connect to servers.

Your card does 60fps capped ultra no AA/2x AA 1080p, you don't have to play with those low settings dude, crank em up! :) What cpu you got?

I had some extreme stuttering yesterday. The game would pause for a couple of seconds and then continue like nothing happened. Windows journal was empty also.

A combination of medium-high setts propably. Should make a good mix of eye-candy and performance. Depending on his system ofc

I have just moved over to Win 8.1 and I'm getting a crash or something in BF4. Now, I did not re-install the game. I just moved my install to desktop, Got Origin to start downloading, closed it, then replaced with my install of BF4. Save downloading over 20gb. I have also checked the installation. It says no problems.

    I am using 331.82. No overclock. I go into a game, play for about 5-10 mins. I hear a noise from windows critical stop noise and I get a black screen. I can't ALT-TAB. I can't ALT-F4. I can't CTRL-ALT-DEL either.

What is this? Anyone else get it?

Punkbuster is installed and updated. Not sure about other 'packages' that might be needed. I will have a look in the directory to see if anything is in there.

I really don't want to have to re-install but if I have too...

Sounds more like a hardware problem than software.

I tried that. Thanks. The game sometimes tells me I don't have China Rising when a few moments before I had been playing it. I am currently re-installing sadly. 3 hours to go!

The no DLC is fixable, you have to input something to registry. A reinstall may not help. The problem is that you can not play on servers with the China Rising icon, if the icon is not present you can play on them.

    Here is the fix

Damn it! I'm already re-installing. Never mind. Thanks for the link I will save that just in case.

I don't need to with 8.1 do I? When I went into resource monitor on 7 it would show as parked until I used the high performance then it would be unparked as that was the profile I changed using the unparking program.

Now with Windows 8.1 I go into RM and all CPU's don't say they are parked.
