Indeed, it shouldn't matter, too bad :(
I guess this card needs to be a RMA :S

    Good luck!

Either the 270x is faulty or there is a bug/incompatibility with the BIOS or motherboard.

What is the other GPU you tested to work fine in the x16 slot?

Good idea, you COULD try flashing your BIOS with a more recent one. Just make sure to read the HOW-TO-DO-GUIDE ;)

If that doesn't help I wouldn't know what would...

Will my modded KEXT work, or will it cause a kernel panic ;)
Sadly you never know... But I have seen many Gigabyte cards pass by (including yours) and never had any returns :) Meaning: Almost no chance of another DOA.

Good luck! Ooh and let us know what happened ;)

Well at least the card's working properly :') Good for re-sale value. Just to sum it up: Card now boots to login screen, unlike before? And then does the same sh*tty trick? If that's the case, try booting into safe mode and delete the remaining driver stuff.

well i got my motherboard claimed in warranty and they gave me brand new motherboardbut my gpu still didnt work on it gave same issue so i return my gpu back and told them to replace they said they discontinue gigabyte and brings in sapphire so if you want sapphire 270x dualx then we can give it to you with full warranty without additional charges and if you still want gigabyte then we will claim it in warranty and it will take upto 3 weeks to get back another so i picked sapphire r9 270x dualx and it will arrive to me tomorrow
