If someone wants to make it like win8 style file Explorer Library, just right click and enable it, or the same for disable.

Liking 8.1 here and no major issues using classic shell for the start button, I was a win7 hold out :) but changed for bf4

Probably both the same, 64bit might use more RAM than 32bit

I think you will be just fine using the 64 Bit version and it would be quick.

Does anybody know where windows stores extra pictures for startup lock screen?

I was stupid enough and allowed Facebook metro app to change my account pic and the bitch also changed my lock startup screen.

I already changed it, but its still by those slides and sometimes takes control and changes to my FB main background pic..

I already found my FB account picture: C:\Users\..\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures

But this lock screen background is hidden really good, I just can't find it.. I already checked almost any possible folder in appdata, programdata, windows folder and nothing? xD

EDIT: well I end up uninstalling that FB metro app.

    I really like 8.1.

Only problem I encountered was my Asus Wireless adapter that crashed the installation. Took me around 2 hours to figure it out.

So beware if you have one: PCE-N53, it will crash 8.1 installation.

You can create a batch file to do that. ie, with notepad type:

    timeout /t 120
    rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0

    and save as "sleep.bat"

p.s will only work if hibernation disabled. If its not, type in command prompt: powercfg -h off

Did fresh install using 8.1 pro iso this time. Earlier installation was a small mess because I upgraded from corrupted windows 8 (faulty memory corrupted numerous things).

Today changed motherboard, CPU and case. And plugged rest if my hardware. And pressed start button. And windows 8 booted. How on earth? It was not possible years ago. Is this windows 8 thing? Man such peace. Relax. No headaches.

Since Vista already could do that.
I know because I migrated motherboard, cpu and memory, and I managed it to start the system without reformatting. But the performance was not what I expected. Besides giving random errors.
Probably was due to a lot of garbage left in the registry of the previous system.

With Windows 7 these aspects were polished. Migrating platform and was much easier.
