Do you mean that the boost LIMIT should be 1110 ?

Does anyone have the link to download the unlocked voltage bios?

    @Koniakki
aren't you 'worried' about the gtx880?

the minute that arrives it should change the picture by quite a margin I imagine.
for me the 880 is titanesque. it's gonna land with a thud I imagine, unlike 780ti which was sneaked in through the side door somewhat.
    thoughs?

Depends if it'll be based on GM104 or GM110/100 and 22nm.

I just bought for Christmas an EVGA GTX780Ti SC/ACX. Will give you more results later. Enjoy Christmas time. :)

Also, unless AMD release something, Maxwell wont be coming along until mid next year at least. So for at least 7 months the ti will be king.

omg, i just realized with MSI afterburner , that my Gigabyte 780ti WindForce 3 is @ 1137mhz on turbo mode, and I didn't touch anything :p I thought it should be 1085 as mentioned but hell no 1137 oO nice :D and she's never goes more than 75°C with 100% load :D

so yeah, you're saying the NVidia gpu dept. is gonna sit around for the next 7 months then yeah, and 780ti is gonna be king for that period if amd don't do anything.
so gtx 880 in 7 months yeah?

I did this last night with horrible results. I currently run 1,233mhz stable overclock with +50mv override which maxes out at the 1.200vcore nvidia protected the cards with. I flashed the card and bumped up vcore to 1.26, overclocked the card to 1,290 and would have the same artifacting with the stock bios trying to hit 1,290 at 1.200vcore.

Since we are unable to see the temps of the VRM, I decided to reflash original bios since a decent bump in vcore didn't stabilize a clock rate I was looking for and couldn't monitor the VRM temps so back to stock bios with the 1,233mhz 24/7 overclock.

I used to have a stable clocks until BF4 started crashing on me (DX Crash) and also Wildstar. Now I cannot even complete a single Heaven without it crashing. I've tried lowering the core clock a little (only 5 MHz though) but it does not seem to help. Also tried adding more volt and reducing the amount of volt but in vain.

How do I start troubleshooting? I really want to keep my OC clocks :(

If it was genuinely stable, it's most likely temperature related now. Change your fan profile so it runs a bit cooler and see if that helps.

I've had that same issue, crashing when trying to open Heaven benchmark. I tried Valley benchmark and it worked fine. I think I just had to reinstall Heaven in order for it to work right because if it crashes during an OC issue, it might corrupt a file.

Not sure if I re-installed drivers as well. Give it a shot, it sorted itself out for me. BTW I use to run 1,250mhz OC, but I've gotten crashes playing video games for hours on end so I'm down at a rock solid 1,233mhz max overclock +50mv core and I haven't crashed for days. I also have lowered my memory clocks a few times I'm down to +180 which I believe is 7,360mhz. FYI

Also thank your lucky stars we have good cards. I've seen reviews of aftermarket gtx 780 ti where people would get artifacting anything over 1,070mhz, while we are getting a solid 1,230mhz. Thank the lucky stars! :)

Seemed like availability of 780ti customs is under the rock here. So I ended up canceling my Windforces and ordered MSI 780 ti Gaming(as they seem to run about 5-7C cooler than Windforces, which is HUGE for SLI) from UK.

Let's see how fast they arrive. At least overclockers uk, should be decent store.

Yes. Or a bit higher if you wish. Or lower. Whatever you like. :p

Also when I talk 24/7 I mean stock voltage at 1.15v and without need to open a overclocking software. Just start the game and play.

Let say your card can do 1200Mhz core and 7800Mhz memory at 1.15v as an example. So you know how it can go. You can the set it to a comfortable level between 1097 and 1150Mhz core and bump the memory a bit or not if one wishes.

Also you can disable boost by using the same base and boost clocks. E.g both set at 1150Mhz the boost is disabled. You set 1250Mhz in AB, then the clocks will be that exactly. No boost guessing and stuff.

Or you can keep boost enabled and have a base of 1046 and boost 1110 or more. E.g 1084Mhz base and 1150mhz boost.

Buddy let worry for the now. Lets worry for Maxwell when it arrives and hopefully it will be a huge jump over my 780Ti. :p

I hope you talking about auto speeds right? Because 75'C is kinda a lot, unless is really hot there.. ;)

I'm pretty voltage control does not work on the 780Ti yet.

I have seen something from DStealth about flashing the Classy bios that gives voltage control but other than that no voltage so far for the 780Ti.

So even if you had set it at 1.26v the card was probably at 1.20-1.21v. ;)

I was watching it in HWINFO64 reach 1.26, but you could be right. Definitely didn't seem like upping the voltage changed anything past what I've tested clocks at with the 1.2v max. Even though I did use the vbios, LLC disabled by using that program and putting it in my start startup directory and finally edited afterburner to allow a non MSI card to voltage control up to 1.3v.

After all that it didn't help.... so you may be correct.

on the verge of buying a 780ti but the new 290x cards coming out with proper cooling look very appealing. Please somebody put me off the 290x's?
