whats your fps like? I dont see the point in gaming at such res if im not hitting a min of 60fps, or for any res on pc, tbh.

Nice idea for a thread too.

NBA 2K14 runs at 60fps in 4K for me.

I guess I was lucky because I just added the resolution and it worked, no need to change pixels or timings or anything.

    Some of those as well

There's one significant problem I have. When a game has a low resolution (as in old school games like the Wing Commander series), the image only displays on the left hand size instead of being centred. The Nvidia control panel doesn't allow me to set any scaling options (using 327 drivers).

    Other than that, love it!

Pssssh..... 4K is a baby resolution for babies :p

In all seriousness though... my setup is a bit too weak to play most games at 4K. If a 6GB 780ti pops up, I may consider 2 of them :)

I'd like to have this at 60 FPS....

    Gotta love Biggie's comment. :)

He's a cool guy and the way he expresses himself is just great, lol. :)

He speaks what's on his mind.

I too am very interested in 4K ultra high resolution gaming but I'm patiently waiting for current hardware to drop in price before I buy.

Should hardware become more affordable we'd all love to have a Titan or even better a dual Titan setup. :)

Biggie currently spent all his money on his new Super Bike and his shop full of mobile phones. :D

If I happen to visit Turkey I DEFINATELY have to meet Biggie!

LOL u got me there bigtime.

and wish u guys can come over here so we eat, drink and have fun. but not man to man u know what i mean.

besides, current tech prices r so high. and euro is damn 2.8TL. so it is hardly affordable these days. i will wait, as u suggest, and see if prices drop and can make an upgrade. including my mobo, cpu and GPU.

    1 day .... 1 day...

Though 4k is achievable for me with some quality compromise, I simply don't have enough vram to push that resolution.

Mostly Unreal Engine 3 games I can take to that resolution.

And oh well, this monitor can't handle even a single pixel clock mhz increase. Rated at 148.5mhz I think, monitor died within 2 months with gaming at 164.75mhz (1440~1800p downsampling). Panel got changed under warranty.

Though if I get a new monitor, its going to be 120+hz. And not less than 4gb|512bit for next gpu upgrade.

I have been thinking about getting a GTX780 card....only thing that concerns me is the 3GB of vram.

I would love to have more vram....even though I know 3gb is a lot.

I hit my 4GB VRAM cap a lot trying to run games at 4K. 3GB would get eaten up a lot faster.

The reason the 780 and the 780 Ti is limited to 3GB is because nvidia wants people to buy their stupid titans.

Are you sure, though, that you're getting limited by that 4GB of VRAM? Do you encounter slowdowns related to the memory filling up, or are your GPUs still at high usage?

I ask this because filling up 4GB VRAM doesn't necessarily mean that 4GB of VRAM are required; the game would just load less data while dealing with less VRAM. This has been repeatedly demonstrated.

You guys downsampling, you are using sharpening i assume? Without it blurs the image.
