Anyone with Radeon can't run Need for speed Rivals full screen ?

It just goes blackscreen and ALT+TAB shows the window but u can't click inside or else it goes blackscreen again with the audio behind crackling slow like 2 FPS.

    Window mode works smooth.

By target temperature, i mean, "the fans are adapting there speed according to gpu temp".
Here are the default auto Settings of my Windforce3 7970Ghz Gigabyte

As you can see, the fans are going to 80% at only 60C :eek3::eek3: !
My question is : Can I reduce fan speed and set, for example, the 80% fan speed to 80C ?
In games like Crysis i'm getting 80% fan noise during the whole session :bang::bang:

Interesting... Is there feedbacks or some good opinion about this ? I never tweaked a GPU Bios ;)

Yes, tick the box that says manual. Then click on the graph and you can move or delete the points where the fan speed increases basically creating your own fan profile.

I have the same card as you and the fans on it are extremely loud past 60%. I would set a really low fan speed for idling on desktop, default is 33% on this card. You can go lower if you like but idle temps will increase and 33% is really quiet.

    I made one in Afterburner.

    Here it is.

The fan stays at 33% when idle, then it makes its way upto 60% when the temps reach 60C then it goes to 80% speed when it reaches 75C (which it never has) and finally 100% speed when it hits critical 85C.

Max load I have seen in demanding games like Metro LL, Batman Arkham Origins, BF4, etc is 62C after about 5 hours of play time.

I have a profile set up like this in MSI AB

should be easy to replicate in any program that allows custom fan profiles :)

Thank you guys for your help & the picture to help me calibrate my own card, you really rocks :) !
I'll have to install MSI AB so, cause OC Guru doesnt allow to go past 80C & its only a 10 to 10 degrees settings, not a real progressive one like yours

Did you change thermal paste on your own Windforce or not ? I was wondering if the thermal paste by default is ok ?

yes, his is a bit more reasonable.

    i was refering to Gizmo's.

Optimally, you want your curve to reflect the minimum fan speed nessisary to maintain a given temp.

None of this would be nessisary if CCC had an option to shift its default curve to the left by a few degrees at a time.

Quick/dumb question, when updating my Intel driver, should I remove my AMD as well?
On a switchable system, Radeon 6770M + Intel HD 3000 :V Using this beta so...

Shouldnt need to, theoretically they are separate devices.

Vsync seems to be completely broken with these drivers.
i did reinstall a fresh Win8.1 onto a spare hdd, installed only the 13.11 b9.2, and vsync did not work.
then i removed them and installed 13.9 WHQL and vsync worked fine again.

i verifiey that today on my normal gaming windows. deinstalled 13.11b9.2, installed 13.9 and vsync started to work again in ALL games.

    works fine for me.

    7970 and 290.

vsync is a directx thing, try reinstalling dx.

    Try reading my post. ;)

    1. I reinstalled THE WHOLE WINDOWS, and it's STILL broken with 13.11 and works with 13.9.
    2. I verified it on a second Windows installation. Broken with 13.11 and working on 13.9.

so no, it's definately NOT a windows or dx issue!
