It was constant, I don't know about voltage as I wasn't checking when it happened (I have Voltage Monitoring disabled in AB). PS: I won't discuss anything Staff related regarding other forums, this is not the place.
Patience is a virtue guys, you just got the cards if its really a driver issue sit it out and wait a bit, instead of just selling them ASAP. You could regret in the end...
Aaaaaand another blackscreen, 5 minutes after joining Battlefield 4... THis card is going back to the store this week and I'm grabbing a GTX780 Ti, screw AMD.
I done this too, bought a 290x and after several days trying everything, literally everything i lost love to 200€ and changed for a 780ti, i really wanted to stay with amd after several GPU´s with them. See you in 780ti owners club
It's not AB's fault... I even tried a fresh install with no monitoring software at all. Here: Yeah, first I need to sell my 290X waterblock though, else I won't be able to afford the 780Ti. :wanker:
No, not AB; AIB.... Add In Board partner. lol This black screen problem has reared it's head before. It's def hardware fault, may/may not be fixed with firmware.
I'm hoping it can be fixed with a new BIOS/Firmware, else I'll demand the store a refund or an exchange for a GTX780 Ti.
Depends on the cause...can range from bad PCB components to PWM to driver reset......or ****ty Elpida memory. When it black screens are u able to alt tab or does it reset itself...or is it a hard lock and reboot the only way out?
Black screen = signal loss. This means I can't do crap, and according to the sound (broken/stuck loop) looks like the computer is frozen, so I am forced to do a hard reboot. If it's Elpida Memory I hope AMD replaces it with Hynix for every customer free of charge, Elpida overclocks like crap and even at stock we're having issues, while I've only seen one or two people with Hynix having issues...
That's the reason I haven't RMA'd the card yet, we DON'T KNOW. They would probably send a random card and if you get Elpida you're screwed again.
Lol...yeah OK...sounds familiar. Can u run this and post a screenshot? http://download1233.mediafire.com/3dev6wt3hsvg/voj4j1rlk0ucfz4/MemoryInfo+1005.rar
Hmm imma send an email to althon micro and ask if this could be done. and RMA both cards. Hopefully they're competent to do so, which i have no doubts about them. Currently I am pissed off at AMD and not at sapphire since the recent rma i did with sapphire, the process was pretty fast and they kept me updated on everything. Unlike AMD who Ive sent emails upon emails, and tweeted and retweeted them to which i have yet to receive a response from them which i am really upset about which has been over 2 week time frame already.
You should be able to tell by the PN number on the card (or box). Did you say u saw a review on COCKS.UK where the IC's were Hynix? Find out the pn number of the card they had. NOT the sku#.
Im holding of buying one of these (was waiting for the cutsoms anyway), but im holding off, buggers are black screening all over the shop, not good at all.
wonder if these happenings are the reason for no aftermarket cards yet. btw I disabled the oc on my monitor and still suffer black flashing when core highly OCed(beyond my sig oc) in my stress test.
Also having the blackscreen issue, but not in all games. In BF4 I can wait on it, it happens just after a few minutes. Did someone update their bios and got rid of it?
