^ oh really? that seems a little strange.. my SC clocks better than my other card so I'm not going to complain!
Id complain if id have paid the higher price, they still have them up at the prices mentioned. An SC is £399, if you paid anymore then they have stitched you up. Ive got the vanilla EVGA and its perfectly stable at 1202 on the core.
The reference card I ordered was £408 at the time and I'm sure the SC was a few pounds more, I'm happy with what I've ended up with and am not going to send it back over a few quid, its the same card with a higher clock. Scan must have their prices mixed up
Happy days then, I don't think its a mistake as it been up for around 24 hours now. Maybe they just have a load of stock to shift but odd they have it priced lower than the normal card.
There is a trick to adding a few lines in your AB config file that will add voltage control up to +100mv iirc. Try Koniakki he knows how to.
Go to msi afterburner folder > profiles > open up the cfg under msiab starting with VEN. Find the line [Settings] CaptureDefaults=0 VDDC_Generic_Detection = 0 VDDC_NCP4206_Detection = 3:20h and add the the two lines under capture in it. This allows you to change voltage to 1.3 volts.
it only goes to 1.3v when your card is boosting, that's how it works with me. the idle volts are higher but nothing to bother with.
Just got my evga 780 Ti SC's this morning and am pleasantly surprised by the jump in performance over my 680's. They also look very nice!
I personally have 1.32 volts running under load with no problems, but im on water so temps are non issue. Id probably stick to 1.25 for air. Also when you use a static voltage, they do not idle down to 2d voltages, it will stick to what you set it to. I run 1.32 when gaming, and go back to auto at desktop.
Just ordered Gigabyte GTX 780 GHz Edition. Costed a bit more than the non GHz Edition but anyway, it has higher clocks and B1 chips.
