I'm a PC gamer and I can't help but admire this console for its design So much in such a small form-factor!
the heatsink looks beefy compared to current consoles hopefull that keep it all cool. Also looks alot simpler to take appart if the need arises
The PS4 internals are a masterpiece of design at least based on looks alone. I'm astounded that it is so much smaller than the Xbox One when it has an internal PSU. The Xbox One has an external brick yet it is still enormous compared with the PS4! My only concern is whether the CPU/GPU will have enough air-flow during long-term use as they are situated right next to the PSU which outputs heat. Also, the internal hard drive appears to under the PSU so is going to get very warm and hard drives generally don't like too much heat as it leads to corruption. I guess I should put faith in Sony's engineers to have taken all that into account but the Xbox One is big and lacks an internal PSU for the simple reason that they didn't want a repeat of the red ring of death syndrome that plagued most of the launch Xbox 360s.
One thing i confused by is the internal PSU i dont liek them on consoles, rather they be extrernal for heat issues and keep un needed heat out of the system. Also why Sata II and not Sata III On bright side a SSD might actual be usfull on the ps4 as opposed to the ps3
