As for this... I am not sure if those 6/12GB memory chips (double/quad density) will be capable to do advertised 7GHz and what heat will they produce.
So unlimited TDP may be needed for 12GB version.
But I believe 6GB would be best as it's future proof and price will be in somehow reasonable limits.

And it looks like early xmas. What we will get on actual ones? I would like 8 real cores in socket 2011 without HT. intel, where are you?

I'll buy two and put them above my fireplace for decoration :>

Jokes aside, I'll sell my 680s too and buy the 780Ti version. The normal 780 seems too far to 680SLI performance wise. 780Ti seems way closer to a 690 and OCd it should perform on par with 680SLI.

We'll see in 3 days. If the card costs 600€ and I manage to sell my 680s for 200€ a piece it should be worth adding those extra 200€ and getting a 780Ti. Then again, the question is as always...isn't it worth waiting for a 3rd party cooler?

I don't dare since I fear it will leak and destroy my system
    Plus waterblocks are super expensive.

Acutally the Ti models WERE the top end in the GeForce 4200/4600/4800 days.

I had the GeFroce Ti 4800, and what an awesome card that was.

The MX 420/440/460 were the low/midrange.

So there you have it. Ti was the "Flagship" naming at one point in time.

    I believe they were the 4200ti 4400ti and 4600ti. I had 2 4600ti myself

I never looked back since the days when i only could afford a mx440.

780TI looks like it will be fun to try out hope with a hacked driver i can do sli/tri with my 780's.

Had that card and boy was it a beast, even more so when I was upgrading from a Geforce 2 MX400.

    tough choices...

if 290/290x had decent coolers I would of def pick that up without a second thought, but they dont.

I'm hoping to run bf4 on ultra AA off @ 1440 resolution.

according to guru3d bf4 review I would get 56fps, but with AA off probably ~60-65.
I wonder how much fps a 1300 core clock 780 classy will get vs 780ti

Im currently in the process of selling my 690, if i can sell it for the price i want ill probably get myself two of these if the price is ok. 690 is an awesome card but the 2GB of vram ruins its performance.

You are bad!! And we kinda like it.. You know we do... ;)

Hey boss, do we have any news or estimates about custom 780Ti's release?

E.g at lauch, a week or 2 later? A month later?

Or is this info under NDA too?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Running @1113/7000 is nowhere near 20-25%. Best case scenario about 10-15% over stock. ;)

Source: Almost all reviews of custom 780's that hit 1124Mhz under load.

Do you guys think 1 ti will be as fast as 2 x 670 SLI?

2 x 670's are meant to be on par with 690 and a 780 is not as fast as that.

perhaps minimum frames yes, I'd go 780ti plus 670 for PhysX, I'd need my cpu at 4.8 to be confident of such setup though.

So your saying average and highest frame rate would not be as good as 2 x 670's?
