So I checked CPU and GPU usage in Hitman Absolution in the level Library (in the beginning http://img1.lesnumeriques.com/news/21/21564/Hitman_Absolution_Library_01_500px.jpg)

With Catalyst 13.11

CPU: 60%
GPU: 70%
FPS: 26-27

With Catalyst 13.4

CPU: 60-70%
GPU: 99%
FPS: 38 (34 with OSD)

It really look like the Enduro issues...

So, no difference in DX10 vs DX11?

And it is very strange that you has FPS drop with OSD, as I know, the OSD will only drop FPS when it interrupt the GPU too often.

How about the 3dmark?
Did it has difference too?

 

I didn't notice any difference in performance in other games.

I didn't try DX10, I don't know if it's possible to choose DX version for Hitman.
I don't use 3Dmark.

And it seems normal to me to get less FPS with an OSD + sensor readings running, it's not a problem.

 

Ya, I think there are no ways to changing it.
And did the other setting also has the same FPS drop?
Like low, medium?

 

Win8/8.1 + 13.11beta1 = Mem Clocks stuck@1600
Going back to 13.10beta2

 

I tried with low settings in the same place, I didn't even get the performance I was getting with 13.4 :giggle2:

 

Theres a BETA 5 of these, were used to bench 290s.

So yup, Enduro issues.
Maybe you can asking LeeKM for testing on his laptop, and see did this game happen with same issues like you on his side, and find a fix for it?

Beta 5, as the name is performance driver, so be careful for the stability issues, as many people like to optimize first, then fix the stability bug.

I wouldn't mind a new driver. Preferably before I reinstall Windows tomorrow

what driver was he using to bench the 290x? Can't see him mention the driver version anywhere. He does mention some driver issues though and says new drivers should improve things.

Nope, I never hear that they will leak the driver, they only leak the hardware picture and spec and temp etc. sometimes.

And this forum has the time that are 2 minutes slower than the real time.

 

This driver prevents my monitor from waking when it goes to sleep or when I set my computer to sleep.

Asder do you have recommended (stable) driver for the 6900 series?
