I have a 7950 and after installing these drivers I can tell a difference. I have better image quality and higher fps definitely worth the install.

I'v only played a few games so far BF3, Farcry 3 and Crysis 3.

If i'm not wrong you have powercolor gpu. I had hd3850 from powercolor, i'm reading a lot about every catalyst release and i see weird thing in all these posts. Most posts reporting problem of kind "driver stopped working" on not overclocked gpus is from users of powercolor/gainward (TUL company), vertex3d, and other cheaps. I could even say "you are getting what you are paying for". Usually gpus from these vendors are the cheapest in their class. Probably they are made with lower quality gpus, memories and other components and that's why they are not working as good as they should.

If i only could have gpus from all vendors to perform this kind of comparison.... ;-)
When i had hd3850 from powercolor this problem was happening from time to time, msi hd6850 problem occurred only when i overclocked gpu too high, same with my current gigabyte hd7790.

Got better min fps with this set. Also remember 13.6b2 having higher min fps but apparently I didn't save the results. Edit. reinstalled 13.6 beta 2.

Anyone know if this is the driver that addresses frame-pacing for DirectX 9 crossfire configurations? I hope so... AMD said that they were still working on it after they released 13.8 beta 2.

What about W7? I kinda think it's broken as well.

To be fair, look at that all-caps word that starts with a B. BETA

Report the issue to AMD and try some solutions to brightness.

I have the same issues than with 13.8 beta 2. FC3 stutters and some games are a bit unstable.
13.8 beta 1 though, still rules!

    Crossfire and Windows 8.1

Downloaded the beta driver from both here and AMD and the 13.10 beta does work in Windows 8.1 however it breaks CrossfireX for my 7950s; There is no option in CCC and under Hardware it reports the 2nd GPU is disabled. I downgraded to Windows 8.1 Preview V2 13.15 and Crossfire is working again. WTF AMD!!

To make matters worse, I can not report the problem to AMD because their reporting forum reads: This survey is now closed. Thank you for your interest.
    Again, WTF AMD!!!:bang:

man, only you have this particular problem and you are telling "WTF AMD".

learn how to properly uninstall a display driver, cleanup registry entries etc, disable your INTERNET and then install latest driver, it's so simple really.

also use latest DDU from http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=379505

Actually I did that, twice. I just didn't want to bore everyone with all the details of my 2 hours of frustration. I even swapped out the Crossfire connector.

so does it have crossfire option grayed out or missing completely ? check if the driver in windows device manager is the same in both cards, if not find the files from driver package and update them manual to have the same version.:) :pc1:

    but when i use driver 13.4 or 13.6 beta 1 or 2

in game hon and all game is just fine BUT!!!

there is a driver stop working problem

sametime if i use 13.8 beta 1 or 2 or 13.10 on GAME HON is like a **** game movement

BUT the driver stop working never happened

that's why i'm so ****ing ****ed up right now

Well, if you like you can give the 12.11 Modded Legacy Driver a try as it does contain support for HD 6000 Users and below.

Is it still necessary (or good measure) to strip out the Visual C++ installers from the beta drivers before installing?

What's the tangible benefit or result from doing this, if so?
